Who likes sneakers in yummy colorways? I know I do!
When I first stumbled upon this delectable colorway of Nike Vandal High Supremes, the first thing that came to mind were strawberry shortcake ice cream bars. It’s hard to believe that this shoe was a mens’ release, due to the pink accents around the Swoosh and midsole. Even though it’s a very clean colorway, it’s not boring in the slightest; accordingly, I wanted to keep the design on my nails fresh and simple, yet interesting as well. Pink tips mimic the accents, while polka dots allude to the crunchy cake coating on the ice cream bars that these sneakers remind me of. A matte top coat was used to finish off the design, complementing the smooth, nylon upper on these Vandals.
As the thermometers continue to rise, so are our hemlines. I know my shorts are barely there and my tops are practically non-existent. Such lack of clothing calls for bold accessory choices, sneakers included. In the past the Nike Cortez was a running-inspired sneaker that came in the basic blues, greys, and blacks. No wow there. Summer 2011 brings a brighter alternative to the comfy shoe. Mineral Blue and Mandarin Orange. Nice combo. The material mix adds texture to this vibrant colorway. The kick features a nylon upper with a touch of suede on the toe, heel, and around the eyelets. Want these? Check with your local Nike Sportswear retailer or you can cop online from Size? for about $85.

I’m not sure how many of you are familiar with the Nike Air ACG Moc, but its a swimming shoe meets a Tom. Kinda. The canvas coverall shoe has been revamped for the Nike Sportswear releases for Summer. NSW called on Liberty of London to aid in making the ACG Moc more feminine. Read the full story
Mr. West must know I’m going through sneaker withdrawal. I scan fashion and sneaker blogs on the daily to find out what’s dropping and who’s wearing what so I can bring the info to you ladies! Let us go back a few months in the She’s Got Sole time capsule. We tipped you all off to the possibility of an Air Yeezy II. Well, Kanye has been spotted over the past couple weeks sporting a sample pair. As expected the sneaker keeps the same overall style, it’s just less bulky and has a textured heel. Nice changes Nike. The OG Yeezy resembled Napoleon Dynamite’s moon shoes in their puffy appearance. There is no release date yet, but stay tuned to SGS. We’ll keep you posted!
