Besame Sweetheart Balm in Tangerine Review

I’m addicted to lip balm so when Besame offered to send me a sample of their new Sweetheart Balm it took me a quick two seconds to say, yes please! The Besame Sweetheart Balm comes in four colors but I was lucky enough to get Tangerine -it is the color of 2012 right?

The Besame Sweetheart Balm comes in a pot rather than a stick, which I like because it’s very small and portable. It’s also a pretty pot so I keep it on my desk where I’m constantly searching for my lip balm as I work. When you open the pot, the first thing you notice is the lovely, authentic tangerine scent. It’s not too heavy and doesn’t smell artificial. It’s just enough to get you excited to stick your finger in the pot.

Unlike a lot of other lip balms, the Besame Sweetheart Balm is not greasy at all (thank goodness!). It glides on really smoothly and makes your lips feel soft. From the pot, the balm looks really pigmented but you only get a soft hint of color on your lips which is nice because I usually just wear lip balm on my lips on the daily.

So here’s the technical stuff: the balm includes aloe leaf extract and shea butter, known for soothing, healing and antiseptic properties, and jojoba, a naturally-derived oil that is easily absorbed into skin. It also includes rosa canina extract, a fragrant extract with antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties, and vitamins C and E, antioxidants that fight free radical damage. Fancy, huh?

I really like the Besame Sweetheart Balm and I’m happy to have a new balm in my arsenal with a pretty hint of color and yummy scent. I may have to get some of the other colors for my stash. You can find the Sweetheart Balm on the Besame Web Store.
