Search and Enjoy: adidas Urban Art Guide Berlin



Berlin is well known for it’s amazing urban art scene and local artists, as well as artists from all over the world  come here to present their work.  Strolling around the city is an exciting experience and you can find art work nearly everywhere - but you had to search for it yourself - until now.

Today, adidas Originals is releasing the first mobile Urban Art Guide Berlin for the iPhone. The guide leads you through the city to a curative selection of Graffiti, Pencils, Paste-Ups and Stickers.  In addition, you also get information on the artist and his piece of art.


For the launch of the adidas Urban Art Guide the artists HITOTZUKI (Kami and Sasu) from Tokyo and the artist Nomad will paint the walls of the Dice Club in Berlin.  The release party will take place at Hotel Club - Michelbergerhotel located on Warschauer Strasse 39/40, 10243 Berlin, and will start at midnight featuring:

“Go Figure” at Krauts Gallery in Frankfurt, Germany


On Friday, March 13th, the Krauts Gallery will present a contemporary art group exhibition “Go Figure” at the UFO in Frankfurt/Main (Germany) featuring 7 internationally known artists of different genres such as urban art, graffiti, photography and oil paintings.

The exhibition will show artwork from Sandro Kopp, who will present “The New Me,” a series of 28 self-portraits expressing excessive examination of himself, in Europe for the first time. Also to be seen is the London based artist Davis le Fleming, known for combining pop-art, graffiti and classical painting in a comical and satirical approach, such as the Swiss street and graffiti artist Smash 137, who’s obsessed with calligraphy.

Also contributing are Case, a member of the graffiti crew Ma’Claim from Erfurt (Germany), Stefan Strumbel, who’s dealing with the theme “home,” the former graffiti writer and current photographer RuediOne and last but not least Flying Förtress with his infamous Teddy Troops.

The exhibition will start at 7 p.m.

Paint Pens in Purses


“Paint Pens in Purses” is a series of all-female urban art shows gaining its start this year! Shayna Yasuhara believes we are in the early stages of a new art movement which will and must involve the touch of female artists. The first show of the series, which features works by Nineta, Lichiban, Morgan Thomas, Kim Harris, Heather McGrath, illy L, and Shayna Shenanigans, will take place at Via Matta on August 6th. The series will continue throughout the fall at more venues including: LAB in Allston, and Middlesex Lounge in Cambridge.

“Getting Over” Opens Tomorrow Night!


Jeez! There are so many great art shows opening this weekend - I need a private jet plane to hit up all the openings!! Haha.
