Rocky Rivera

♥♥ Videos, videos and more VIDEOS!  M.I.S.S. favorite Rocky Rivera teams up with another San Francisco-based emcee, Davinci, as they pay homage to their respective neighborhoods in “SF City Retrospect.” The jazz-infused tune was produced by Digital Martyrs and is featured on Rocky’s Pop Killer mixtape. Check out the Jordan Ching-directed clip below which  features a side of SF that most don’t get to experience themselves. Mayer Hawthorne - How Do You Do

♥♥ The music video for Mayer Hawthorne’s latest single and break-up anthem, “The Walk,” finds the soul singer in his own mini-action flick. Inspired by the motion picture Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the lead single from new album shows Mayer and his better half engaging in a very special showdown! Check out the video below. ♥♥ MBK/J records’ latest signee Elle Varner releases the 90s inspired music video of her new single, “Only Wanna Give It To You” (feat. J. Cole), taken from her upcoming debut studio album entitled Perfectly Imperfect, which is dropping soon.  Her dress is to die for!

Riff Raff x Kid Sister

♥♥ Kid Sister recently got in the studio with Riff Raff (From G’s to Gents) to jump on a track produced by Sinden and 5kinandbone5 entitled, “Hide N’ Seek.” I’m not too sure about the track, but I am feeling the video which features Kid Sis rocking a fabulous headwrap. All the music & vocals featured on “Kaint Let ‘Em Change Me (No!)” were recorded Mon., Aug. 22, 2011, around 3 a.m. in Ladera Heights, CA. Coming up in just a couple weeks, DāM will drop a new 10-inch EP: InnaFocusedDaze via Scion A/V.

♥♥ Lady Gaga is set to open 28th annual MTV Video Music Awards this Sunday, August 28th LIVE from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles, CA.  Other performers include Beyoncé, Jessie J., Bruno Mars, Lil Wayne, Chris Brown, Young the Giant, Pitbull and Ne-Yo. Rapper Kreayshawn will host the 2011 Video Music Awards Red Carpet Report for MTV.com.

Stalley

♥♥ Shortly after signing his contract with Maybach Music in May, Stalley released a single entitled “Chevys & Space Ships.” The Rashad-produced track finally has visuals thanks to Illusive Media. Stalley’s Lincoln Way Nights mixtape is being re-released via SMC/Fontana on Oct. 25, 2011. I hope it drops on vinyl! Check out the video below!

Flwrpt - Sample Food Vol. 2

♥♥ Sample Food Vol. 2 is the latest mix from Brooklyn crate digger and mixologist Flwrpt. Featuring a ton of classic tracks that have been sampled by our favorite artists over the years, Sample Food Vol. 2 kicks off with Otis Redding’s “Try A Little Tenderness,” most recently used by Jay-Z and Kanye West for Watch The Throne.
