Ruslan Karablin of SSUR started designing tee shirts in 1989 to promote his artwork. Ruslan’s art is becoming
a phenomenon with the SSUR label, and through GouMada is now incorporating its stylings for ladies.
In 2007 GouMada launched it’s first collection - a high end women’s street wear line. The GouMada collection’s principles are luxury and elegance. All designs are cut & sewn and made in Japan.

The new line consists of solid graphics tees that are tongue in cheek at times and cut and sew pieces that bring a refined luxury to ladies’ streetwear. I love the new collections but I have to say I still don’t get marketing to women with girls in their underwear. I know that unless I’m shopping for chonies, I’m not trying to look at ladies in their panties.

Russ of Ssur fame has started a new brand just for the ladies called Goumada. The name comes from the Italian word "comare" which means godmother/maid of honor. The word has morphed a bit, is pronounced "Goumada" and is a slang Italian mob term for mistress. The line will only be sold at very few select locations worldwide but 2 tees have already dropped on Cultist so cop ‘em quick!
