The good folks over at Flud have just dropped their Spring/Summer 2009 collection and campaign, and needless to say each piece from the assortment is arm candy you’ll be coveting, whether it’s for yourself or if you need to gift a friend with something funky and fabulous. Additionally, this season Flud steps up its look book game by enlisting the assistance of various artists and athletes to model the latest additions to the Flud family. Peep the look book where you’ll find Amanda Diva, Rocksmith Partner Erik Marion, director Rik Cordero, pro skater Rob Campbell, emcee Corey Gunz, DJ Neil Armstrong, Cee, photographer Joe Conzo, and DJ Grand Wizard Theodore all showing off Flud’s watches.
Now onto the goods! If you had to sum up Flud’s S/S09 collection in one word, variety is probably the most appropriate. There’s (literally) a piece for every type of personality, and for under $100 apiece you might as well scoop up a few to match your different get-ups. (Remember, you need accessories for both formal and informal outfits, etc., etc.) Flud keeps it hot this spring with a twist on traditional watches – it’s a 21st-century take on a timeless accessory. To give you just a taste of what Flud’s offering this season, there’s the “Tableturns” watch, with a face that’s depicts a classic turntable. (Genius!) Staying with the music theme, there’s also the “Boombox” watch, resembling – you guessed it – a boombox! For those of us who can’t decide which watch face we like more (dialog or analog), Flud solves this dilemma with the “Dialog.” Available in four hues, the “Dialog” features both a digital and analog reading. Other notable pieces from this collection include the graffiti-themed “Jaes” watch, styled after a graffiti wall clock and featuring markers as hands as well as a croco-leather strap. The highly anticipated “Deck” features a Griptape detail; it’s a clean and sleek accessory that’ll go perfectly with any outfit you’re wearing, whether you’re heading to the office or to happy hour.
By now we’re sure that you’re sick of reading about Flud’s watches – we know you wanna actually see what all the fuss is about – so peep the entire Flud look book and make sure you stay up-to-date with the Flud blog! All the Flud styles will be available at Karmaloop.
As if there aren’t enough Siren styles to turn any women into a seductress, Agent Provocateur has added a new look called “Anastassia. ” The “Anastassia” range made from sheer black tulle with satin inlays and comes in three pieces: a high-waisted brief that’s made to accentuate and elongate the waist, a soft cup bra with a cute tuxedo style faux collar along the edges of the cups, and a daring halter body suit that makes the torso look longer and waist and hips look curvier. Check out the new looks on the Agent Provocateur website!
Springtime’s upon us, which means the (usually) dreaded act of spring cleaning. For some of us, though, spring cleaning doesn’t have to be a drag—like when designers decide to clean out their digs and sell their no-longer-available goods for insanely low prices. Such is the case with Insa heels; you might remember this foot candy from a M.I.S.S. editorial back in October ‘08.
So break out your MasterCard and do not sleep on this fabulous deal! (It’s been dubbed the ‘Maxi Mega Bargain Grab,’ doesn’t the name speak for itself?) Peep the goods over at Insa’s blog where you can also see what’s being offered. Take note, most of the items shown are the ONLY ones! E-mail sales@insaland.com to purchase items – the first individual to shoot the e-mail gets the goods! Payment is through PayPal only. Ready, set, shop!
Claw Money steps it up this spring with its fiercest collection to date: “Welcome to the Jungle,” which features the perfect array of sidewalk-to-shore side (and back again) T-shirts, tank tops, and hoodies the ladies and the men.
Included in this latest release from Claw Money are 11 novel designs, brightly-hued eyewear, and a Jaws-inspired tote to keep you looking fresh while you hit the waves. So if you were reserving space in your spring wardrobe for the more traditional floral-and-fauna garments, you might want to re-think how you’re going to fill that void – and we think we have just the answer.
For the ladies, “Welcome to the Jungle” serves up a variety of tees and tanks, ranging from subtle to statement-making. If you’re feeling reserved (yet nautical!), don one of Claw Money’s lobster-emblazoned striped tees, available in two colors. (If you’re not one for horizontal stripes, peep the tank version, which comes in solid colors.)
Also feast your eyes upon the “Claws” tanks, featuring a play on everyone’s favorite oceanic demon “Jaws.” Other featured creatures include the “Wild Horses” design, which appears on both tees as well as a tank dress, a “Piggybank,” a “Lucky Cat,” and of course, a tiger. For the cooler night time weather, pair your jungle-inspired tank with a Claw Money zip-up. The men’s collection features the Claw Money symbol in a variety of colors. In keeping with the “Welcome to the Jungle” theme, guys can also opt for the “Psycho Mongrel” tee.
Don’t expect Claw Money’s eyewear to be carbon copies of your typical aviators. The brand’s sunglasses feature brightly-colored frames and face-flattering shapes. Alongside traditional eyewear colors—black lenses/gold frame, or something of the like—Claw Money also presents you with colorful options to complement the new mild-tempered season. Make no mistake, however: these colors aren’t so mild themselves. So take your pick from pink to acid green to red – whatever suits your mood at the moment. Even Claw Money’s take on the traditional aviator is fierce—no Ray-Ban imposters here.
Prices in the collection range from $40 to $250, while eyewear prices range from $200 to $300. All pieces are available on Claw Money’s Web site.
Footwear and accessories designer Melody Ehsani has been making big moves lately; it’s a wonder the woman has any energy. On top of churning out jewelry for hot up-and-coming artists like LMFAO and Elektrik Red, Ehsani still manages to stay on top of her game when it comes to designing killer stilettos and one-of-a-kind jewelry for the masses. (Other celeb fans include Ciara, who’s sporting M.E. earrings on her latest cover’s artwork, and Keri Hilson.)
For Spring ‘09, M.E.’s footwear is some of the fiercest on the market… The best part being that all the stilettos are under $200. The only part of the collection over $200 are M.E.’s fabulous purple patent-leather hidden wedge boots, which’ll run you $280… but totally worth it. This season, M.E. footwear features some of the hottest trends out there – including pink, chain-link stilettos (the Asjai) and chrome wedge open-toed booties (the Mariel). Be warned though – most M.E. heels sport a heel that’s 4-plus inches, so as fabulous as you’ll look in them, you may need a little bit of practice wearing them around the house before you brave the streets in the killer foot candy.
It has been just over two years since Sneaker Freaker brought light to Stampd’ LA, a brand that was solely devoted to customising the classic all white Converse Chuck Taylors. They gained global respect and popularity by offering a unique customisation service to the cool kids who strived to be individuals and could not handle owning the good-ol’ plain Chucks! The distinctive, and extremely detailed designs, with inspirations deriving from the Los Angeles culture, further popularised designer/entrepreneur Chris Stamp’s ‘Stampd’ LA’ business.
Fast Forward one year and Stampd’ LA Footwear was born. Chris Stamp partnered up with LA based manufacturers who took his innovative ideas and developed them into Stamp’s own collection of shoes. This is a footwear brand that is most definitely striving, especially with their recently launched 2009 collection; a collection we all need to take note of!
Stampd’ LA have stuck to their roots of LA for the latest collection, proving that they are still grounded and remember where they are from. The signature style of representing their hometown’s culture with the edgy twist is still present for the 2009 collection. However, they have mixed it up this time round by introducing various new textures and modernised prints to give it that ‘street wear worthy’ and ‘dapper savvy’ look. A classic chic style many desire for the simplistic transition from day to night footwear.
Taking inspirations from the latest fashion trends, part of Stampd’ LA’s spring 2009 collection consists of loud 90s prints, stonewash denim and floral designs all printed on the Chuck inspired canvas hi-tops. There are also clean-cut pairs for the people who don’t dig the “in-ya-face” bold shoes, but these too are given the Stampd’ touch by using patent materials! For a more contemporary design check out their Numberd’ range, which are limited to 100 per style. But I have to say, my personal favourites have to be the Gardend’! The Gradend’ pair really gets in touch with my feminine side, reminding me that summer is nearing! With sizes starting from men’s 4, the ladies are good to go!
As a relatively new footwear brand, expect a lot more from Stampd’ LA. The spring 2009 collection is just a teaser compared to what we are bound to see in the coming years from Stampd’ LA. Any brand that can polish up a basic shoe model; a blank canvas, and turn it into something as refreshing and new to the footwear game will most definitely get the M.I.S.S ladies thumbs up! Oh, and the fact that Stampd’ LA shoes drop down to a men’s size 4; a women’s size 6, doesn’t hurt either…we feel the love!

Fresh out of New York City, there’s a new line of jewelry on the streets that’s sure to catch your eye. Not your typical accessories collection, Je M’aime’s debut line is comprised of two and three finger rings with designs as unique as they are glamorous. Each piece is made of 24-karat vermeil.
From the debut collection, each of the five pieces has its own flare and personality. The “Voulez Vous” is a three-finger ring with intricate pearl detailing, lady-like but at the same time perfectly paired with a pair of sneakers and jeans for a seamless casual look. Next up is the “9:15″ ring, this time it’s a two-finger piece that’s available in yellow gold or silver. The “9:15″ is universal: in both colors, matches any outfit, and its minimalist design is sure to have widespread appeal. The “JM Deck” features a geometric design set in pink gold vermeil, while the “Caribou” is described as “the most ethereal of the collection.”
The “Sphinxxx” is perhaps the most intriguing piece of Je M’aime’s debut collection. The name says it all, and this two-finger piece will definitely inspire others to envy you when they see it on your hand. Featuring the Egyptian icon the sphinx, this piece sets itself apart from the rest of the collection with its individuality.
Prices range from $175 to $315 – definitely a worthwhile investment for a piece you’ll wear for years to come. You can shop Je M’aime’s online store via the company’s web site.
If Married to the Mob’s first spring ‘09 collection wasn’t enough to satiate your palate, luckily the brand has more coming your way. You already saw Kid Sister rocking her MTTM gear, now get yourself ready for the second wave. This spring MOB is venturing into new territory, in addition to some twists on old favorites.
We all know that MTTM is famous for creating edgy, in-your-face tees and curve-hugging denim, but this spring MTTM is changing it up a bit with the first MOB dress! That’s right, for all you ladies who’ve saturated your closet with Leah McSweeney’s famous tees, now you’ll have the chance to glam yourself up a bit more with a Most Official Dress – the “Flight Dress.” The universally flattering silhouette features a bubble hem and cinched waist, perfect for accentuating that hourglass figure while at the same time sporting a stitched “MOB” detail.
For a look that’s a little bit less dressy (but still just as chic) is the “Say It Loud” T-shirt dress – ideal for pairing with your MOB graffiti leggings! (Or any leggings for that matter.) With a bit more coverage than your usual tee, you’re sure to catch the eyes of passersby with this garment that reads, “MOB rules the world & everything in it since ‘82!”
Also new for the warmer weather is the distressed wash on MTTM’s 24th Street jean. Once again, flattering and curve-hugging . . . And easily worn with a favorite pair of sneakers or your newest, hottest stilettos. But you didn’t think that MTTM would release a collection without including any of its infamous tees, would you? The brand stays true to its roots this spring with a fresh batch of colorful tops (lilac, anyone?), as well as a less demure, “Sex Sells” tee.
Once again, Leah and the ladies of MTTM know exactly what us ladies want and need in our wardrobe! The array of pieces is sure to please, and with the addition of MOB dresses it’s obvious that Leah McSweeney’s got a lot more up her sleeve that we can’t wait to see.
You can purchase all of the pieces in the collection online here. Read the full story to see more images!
