The grass is always greener on the other side of the fence…that might by true if you’re rocking these original Reebok Freestyles circa 1980’s. Often times we aren’t satisfied with our situation and look towards others thinking they have it better. Vintage cow kicks or not, we are in charge of our own life and destiny…focusing on others’ achievements and feeling sorry for yourself is a waste of time and energy and only puts you further behind. Look at the grass around you and if it isn’t as “green” as you wish make changes and adjustments to get to where you want to be. Times are tough for everyone right now, get creative, this is your time to shine! So bust some “Freestyle Mooooooves!” and M.I.S.S. will be here for you until the cows come home! Ok, we’re done
Vintage Reebok Freestyle circa 1980’s from The Goods!, Chanel ‘Black Satin’, Revlon ‘White on White’, B.P. Nails ‘Cool Green’, Orly ‘Hook Up’ Yellow and D.I.M. (Did It Myself) ‘Freestyle Lavender’ ( mix of OPI ‘Strawberry Margarita’, OPI ‘Purple With A Purpose’ and Revlon ‘White on White’).

HighSnobette is a women’s lifestyle magazine devoted to outside-the-box fashion, art and lifestyle trends. Lois Sakany and Samia Grand Pierre, the editors of HighSnobette, are known for bridging the gap between streetwear and couture and believe that “a woman’s greatest asset is the gift of duality and complexity and females who can work those angles are beloved and admired by us.”
The ladies of HighSnobette say this:
“In the HighSnobette universe, four-inch heels and sneakers are just as sexy as tight jeans, a Fleet Ilya harness or a Chanel suit. What we like is what we like and we aren’t motivated by what’s supposed to be hot or trendy. Yes, just like the name, we’re snobs and unashamed of it.”

Today we feature Snobette, Samia Grand Pierre, for her dedication to keeping us informed on all things fashion! Get familiar with Samia after the jump!

Reebok continues into Fall 2009 with its iconic freestyle in a whole host of colorways and fabrications. Stay tuned for popular 80s colors like fuchsia, purple and turquoise paired with geometric patterns and stripes. Color was a strong feature and was also featured in the 7 deadly sins pack where the pump omni light was matched to a color and sin; from lust to greed, all the sins were represented with lace locks proclaiming sin. The most exciting aspect of the Reebok collection is the Affili’Art collection where the art of Jean-Michel Basquiat, Rolland Berry and John Maeda were translated on a new canvas – sneakers. The Jean-Michel Basquiat models were definite standouts - the trademark crown, scribbles and use of color –his work looks as fresh today as it did over twenty years ago. Reebok silhouettes seem like a natural canvas for his art that was born in the streets.

Reebok’s been making a comeback with the re-release of The Pump and The Freestyle and, just in time for the holidays, Reebok is opening up the “Reebok Flash” Pop-UP shop in New York City. The shop will be open for four weeks and every week, a brand-new limited-edition Reebok sneaker will release and be available at the Pop-Up store for that week only. We have a sneak peak of one of the limited edition styles, the Reebok Court Victory Pump, in taxi-cab yellow. Word on the street is that there’s also a Coney Island inspired shoe coming out as well. Very few pairs of the limited edition styles were produced. In addition to the limited edition styles, throughout the month you’ll also find other Reebok apparel and footwear that’s specially curated for the Pop-Up shop.

I’m really loving these unique pop-up shops that keep “popping up” lately. They make for really unique shopping experiences and they usually have products specially designed for those shops so you know you’re getting something special. The Reebok Flash Pop-Up Shop will be open from Saturday, November 15th through Sunday, December 14th, and is a great spot to check out for holiday gift shopping - or wish list making! Check out the details and more pics of the Taxi Cab Pump after the jump.

Whatever happened to aerobicizing and workout videos? I grew up on the Jane Fonda Workout, saw my mom “Sweat to the Oldies” and saw teen queens join the club like Alyssa Milano with Teen Steam, but there was definitely a time when you could pop in a VHS tape and start burning those calories. If you’re ready for an updated workout, Reebok has the answer. Reebok took the concept of the workout video and made it more “now” and added a bit of “iD.” They recently launched a site, just for the ladies, dedicated to help women find the right kind of workout for them.
The process is simple and involves 3 steps: (1) choose a color; (2) choose a vibe; and (3) choose a move. Based on your selections you are assigned an instructor that best meets your selections. Then, you gain access to the instructors fitness tips and insights. With over fifteen female instructors from around the world, you’ll definitely find an instructor that has a fitness style that appeals to you. While you’re at it, you can stock up on new Reebok fitness gear as well. I know I did! You can see the process and my selections after the jump.
Finally, I’m sure you noticed the very fit instructor pictured above - Jennie Widegren - a dancer from Sweden. We’ve gained access to some Q & A and a video interview where she talks about her ideas on fitness and has some great advice on how to stay toned. Check it out after the jump!
