Day 1 of the tradeshow hustle included everything from Chanel to Jeremy Scott to vintage to the most loved Doc Marten’s. Comfort is key when doing this dance. You are on your feet for hours! So unless you’ve been hired to be a tradeshow “model,” we suggest leaving the heels at the hotel . . . your feet will thank you later.

M.I.S.S. had a chance to view what Hellz-Bellz has in store for their Summer 09 delivery. As to be expected Hellz is going to bring you lots of cute silhouettes, smart graphics and bold patterns. We’re loving the short-alls with the button-down panel, a feature that’s become a HB trademark. Seems Hellz is taking a more avant-garde look with over-sized tees, 80’s cut dolman sleeved zip hoodies and the cutest gathered bubbled skirts. Times are tight, so start saving now ladies…you’re going to want it all.

No Star is by far the t-shirt line with the best sense of humor. I’ve known Josh & Eric since 2002 when I met them at the first tradeshow we all attended. I was immediately a huge fan of their line because it had so much heart, and the t-shirt graphics are always funny. You can never have enough smiles! It’s been a pleasure to see the No Star label grow and progress from their first Pool tradeshow at a suite at the Standard LA to having 2 booths at Pool and Project. The new graphics are just as clever as the graphics they were putting out when they first started. From their views on vampires to fixies, I giggle every time I see one of their tees. Then of course, there are the oldies but goodies like “Gin and Jews,” and my all time favorite, “Guns don’t kill people, people with mustaches kill people.” You can find more smiles and No Star tees online on the No Star website. Oh, they also started a line of higher end outerwear but the boys didn’t lose their sense of humor just because they got fancy - they just named their line “La Merde.” Hahahahaha

Lira started in 2007 but introduced their apparel lines for men and women in 2008. Here’s a peak at what’s hitting the stores in the next couple of months for SS09. I’m a HUGE fan of deep v’s and scoop neck t-shirt bodies…far sexier than a painted on tee in my opinion. Clavicle’s are Sexy! Paired with Lira’s playful and bold graphics you’ve got wearable bodies that will get you noticed. The “Country” plaid button-up is the perfect twist on your BF’s flannel, cinched at the waist to show off your womanly curves, Lira does a perfect sexy without revealing too much and we love that!

And the final report from Las Vegas. The last day of the trade show circuit took me to Project. I had only an hour to run around but had a chance to check in with She-Bible and Hellz-Bellz. See what’s what after the jump! Read the full story

WRG? launched The Black History Month Project earlier this month and even though we’re posting this a little late, we thought it was still very important to share. The project is a collaboration with Series Skateboards. It’s a tribute to some of the world’s most famous and pioneering Black professional skaters.
The website, features an interactive crossword puzzle where the answers are made up of the names of 20 of these skaters. The project also includes a limited edition WRG? x Series collaboration deck with similar graphics, a poster, and an exclusive metallic sharpie.
