No Star is by far the t-shirt line with the best sense of humor. I’ve known Josh & Eric since 2002 when I met them at the first tradeshow we all attended. I was immediately a huge fan of their line because it had so much heart, and the t-shirt graphics are always funny. You can never have enough smiles! It’s been a pleasure to see the No Star label grow and progress from their first Pool tradeshow at a suite at the Standard LA to having 2 booths at Pool and Project. The new graphics are just as clever as the graphics they were putting out when they first started. From their views on vampires to fixies, I giggle every time I see one of their tees. Then of course, there are the oldies but goodies like “Gin and Jews,” and my all time favorite, “Guns don’t kill people, people with mustaches kill people.” You can find more smiles and No Star tees online on the No Star website. Oh, they also started a line of higher end outerwear but the boys didn’t lose their sense of humor just because they got fancy - they just named their line “La Merde.” Hahahahaha

While we were in Vegas we had a chance to catch-up with Mitra from Blood Is The New Black at the Pool Tradeshow. There were two artist series’ that really stood out from her new line that we really loved. First, were a series of tees of women’s faces illustrated by Kime Buzzelli of Show Pony fame. Second, was a series by Brian Lichtenberg that catered to the high-fashion lovers amongst us with tees that declared “RIP YSL,” a tromp l’oeil motorcycle vest with Karl on it, and a tee that featured Balenciaga cult favorite shoes. I’m really excited for the launch of these tees and think I need to get some for myself! Check out the rest of the pictures of the tees and the Blood Is The New Black mood board after the jump.

Ill Parcel, the makers of the infamous Boombox Bag have updated the style to actually include functioning speakers. Just plug in your iPod or mp3 player, and boom-chicka-boom-boom you’re ghetto blaster is playin’ your tunes. The bags design has been updated and looks more realistic to me. The Boomboxes come in several sizes, and varieties including small radio, box radio, combo turntable/cassette player, and small “tape” pouch.
In addition to the Boombox bags, Ill Parcel has a fun collection of bags and small accessories with houndstooth and animal print patterns on a backdrop of fuchsia and turquoise (M.I.S.S. favorites!). The collection is rounded out with the “undies” cases. I love all of the bags and accessories and could see myself using all of the pieces. The pieces are part of the Fall ‘09 collection and can be found at Ill Parcel retailers. Check out more pics after the jump.

San Francisco based Nooworks‘ Fall 08 Collection is called Romanced By Horror and is inspired by “70s horror films, camping trips gone bad, zombies, werewolves and motorcycles.” The line has grown to include cut & sew in addition to t-shirts and has some really cute plaid pieces in M.I.S.S. favorite colors purple and red. The line also includes amazing accessories including handbags (complete with zombie zipper pulls and lining!), enamel charm necklaces, and sunglasses. Our favorite accessory is one she produced in conjunction with the O.G. U.S.A. Pencil Box Company - you know the ones - we all kept our pencils in ‘em back in the grade school days! Check out the pics after the jump.

California-based Los Angeles TC has created a line of the most comfy cozy tees. The styles are really unique and come in super-long varieties (sleeve and bodice) and even reversible styles with different graphics on each side (see below). Many of the styles and graphics were inspired by vintage tees, for example, tees with “Baby 89″ printed on them. They also make these really cool bags out of vintage hunting jackets from the 1940’s. Check out the rest of the pictures after the jump.

One of the booths that we were most excited to stop and see was LeSportsac. We love LeSportsac and we were so excited to see what new goodies they have lined up for Spring/Summer 2009. LeSportsac was founded in 1974 and, since some time has passed, the brand is preparing itself for a new generation of loyal fans. They’re offering more prints, more silhouettes and more options in exclusivity and price-point. Some new silhouettes they’ve added is a yoga mat bag (my prayers answered!), laptop cases and covers, totes, belt bags and cosmetics bags. In addition to lots of new prints, LeSportsac is coming out with patents for those of us that like our bags shiny.

While you may know about Anzevino & Florence’s color change fabric tees, their collection is actually much more extensive and we had the chance to check it out at the Pool Tradeshow. The collection included a color palette of black, white, gray and navy “basics” that were anything but basic and beautiful sheer pieces that infused bright pops of color into the entire line. I especially loved the sheer pieces as they are great for layering and can be worn several ways. Check out more pictures after the jump.
