OPI has released Couture de Minnie - a limited edition collection featuring three nail lacquers, one glitter and one red-hot Liquid Sand™ shade, all created in honor of Disney’s most fashionable mouse - Minnie Mouse! For this lacquer launch, OPI created an online Minnie Mani Gallery and you know MISS had to get in on the action and get our nails did! We created our very own Couture de Minnie manicure inspired by the haute Minnie Mouse pictured below.

Animal print has always been a fashion trend for the ladies. As of late last year, sneaker brands like Nike and Adidas have applied the trend to several of their releases.
I think Nike did an excellent job with this pair of Nike Air Max 1. The leopard print and bright coral perfectly accent the black suede on this classic model.
For this nail design, I used Essie Camera for the bright coral. I used Wet n Wild French White Creme underneath to make the coral really pop. As for the leopard print, I started off with Nails Inc. Hampstead Gardens, and then used a dotting tool with black polish to create the splotches resembling leopard print.
If any of you ladies are interested in the mustard yellow color I used, it’s actually on sale at Sephora right now! I purchased mine in store, but you can also find it online on Rstyle. I thought it seemed like a hideous color at first, but it’s actually the perfect base for leopard print, and the formula is top notch.

There are a lot of back Chanel-inspired iPhone cases out there -you know the ones with all the rhinestones - but I saw these Le Vernis phone cases on Instagram yesterday and my jaw dropped. These are amazing! I tracked them down on Etsy and yes, I ordered one in Dragon. You can find the Le Vernis iPhone cases on Etsy.
OPI pays hommage to its Culture of Color with the international launch of its first branded film, “Instinct of Color”. Set to the French DJ band C2C’s “Down the Road,” the video features a surrealistic dance-off between four female dancers and a gorgeous Thoroughbred, as trained by equestrian stuntmaster Mario Luraschi.
I always say that nail lacquer can change your look – and your outlook…Today, nail color can convey feelings and emotions, expressing on the outside what the wearer is feeling on the inside. In this short film, four women communicate through dance and color. With a trained Thoroughbred who could replicate the dancers’ moves with very little digital enhancement, we were able to capture the unique, energetic and creative culture that epitomizes the OPI brand.
I don’t love this video and I think there are many other ways OPI could demonstrate its Culture of Color but I think this is a great first start for the brand. I’m excited to see what else OPI has up their sleeves. Check out the video below…
OPI has introduced its new collections for Fall 2012 and we’ve got some great colors coming soon. For Fall 2012, OPI takes us to Germany for a collection inspired by Deutschland. Drawing inspiration from Berlin, an exciting new fashion hub that blends classic looks with the avant-garde, the collection’s twelve shades offer a mixture of vibrant color, urban-chic neutrals, and reds in variations from light to dark.

Next up is the new OPI Diamond Dust-Infused Designer Series Shades for Fall 2012. The two new high-shine colors fuse fashion and technology because the Designer Series lacquer formula is enhanced with real diamond dust, offering light reflecting, multidimensional color. Suzi Weiss-Fischmann stated:

The third collection OPI is introducing for Fall is the Nicole by OPI exclusive for Target collection. Inspired by trendy colors and giving them shimmery finishes, the new fall 2012 Nicole by OPI collection for Target will have a color that will complement your fall style. The new collection will be available at Target starting in August.
