REBEL8, the clothing and accessories line that features Mike Giant’s artwork, has great new styles for the ladies this coming Fall season. Mike Giant’s drawings, all done in Black Sharpie, translate perfectly to screen printed tees. The collection included tees and fleece in white, black and gray and many of the graphics featured Giant’s trademark tattooed ladies, skulls and references to San Francisco and bicycle culture.  As a fan of Mike Giant’s work, I love seeing his pieces of wearable art - his aesthetic is timeless and always looks fresh.  To see more photos read the full story.

Back at the end of August, we told you about this Mike Giant Solo Show at White Walls Galler, SF and now it’s finally here! Again, this is the only show he has planned for this year, and it will also be his largest show to date. Also, it will be the only opportunity for collectors to buy his original illustrations this year. The famed graffiti artist/tattoo artist/illustrator does not have another show planned until late April 2009.

I’m a reformed graff kid but carrying a Sharpie everywhere I go is something I may never be able to shake. Needless to say, I nearly lost it when I saw that graffiti/tattoo legend, Mike Giant, now his very own signature Sharpie! Here’s what Mike has to say about this amazing achievement:
