♥♥ Cali native Dana La Rock is working on an upcoming project entitled, LVRFLY, featuring some heard and unheard beats from the magnificent Flying Lotus. “good.good” is her new electro-inspired, feel-good track this upcoming project which should be dropping at the end of the month or early October. ♥♥ Speaking of Flying Lotus, he recently hooked up with the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Ensemble for a performance in Los Angeles that featured some of today’s brightest talents. Alongside an all-star cast of musicians, Flying Lotus was able to participate in the ensemble’s beautiful rendition of “Drips” from his album, Cosmogramma and “Take Notice” from J. Dilla’s Ruff Draft EP. “Drips/Take Notice” is also available for a free download via the Miguel Atwood-Ferguson Esemble Bandcamp page.

♥♥ Keeping true to his word, Kanye West released another track from his G.O.O.D. Friday series. “Devil In A New Dress” is the latest installment in what seems to be Kanye West’s return to lyrically claim his title as one of the best rappers alive. Reminiscent of his “College Dropout” days, the track finds Kanye rhyming over a soulful sample about a relationship between himself and his female counterpart. Download and take a listen!
