Delman Shoes
If it’s good enough for Marilyn Monroe, Jackie Kennedy Onassis, and Katherine Hepburn, it MUST be good enough for you, right? These three fashion icons have rocked Delman Shoes in the past, and now it’s your turn! The newest styles released by the brand (a brand which has been around since 1918) are extremely sexy but still look ridiculously wearable at the same time. Our favorites include: Makayla in Red, Jules in Fuschia, Jane, Greer, and Geri, for that beginning-of-summer date that you just landed. Oh, and the Santee are good for by the pool or “by the beeeaach” as they say in the movie Half Baked.
The brand is available at Neiman Marcus, Bergdorf Goodman, Saks, Endless.com, and are occasionally featured on Gilt Groupe if you can catch ‘em on time.

A few weeks back we posted about a Douglas Kirkland exhibit featuring his photos of Coco Chanel, as well as his book on the same subject. In addition to taking personal portraits of Coco Chanel, Douglas Kirkland has worked with a virtual who’s who of Hollywood including Marilyn Monroe, Sophia Loren, Audrey Hepburn, Jack Nicholson and Elizabeth Taylor. He’s one of the masters at capturing a person’s essence on film so we were happy to stumle upon a short feature on him on Fine Art TV. The short film includes photos, interviews with people who have worked with him and an interview with Douglas Kirkland himself. Portrait - Douglas Kirkland, Living Legend was great because you actually got to hear Kirkland speak about his craft and it’s very rare to hear someone with so much talent talk about his work. Portrait - Douglas Kirkland, Living Legend was very inspiring and you can view the film online here.

The most famous fragrance of all time, worn by iconic women from Mlle. Chanel herself and Marilyn Monroe, is still one of the most worn fragrances. Today, Chanel is launching Chanel N°5 Eau Premier, “[a] decidedly lighter, fresher, softer interpretation of N°5.” In true Chanel style, to celebrate the launch the website has been updated with new features celebrating Chanel N°5 such as new music and video - you can watch here and purchase the new fragrance here. I can’t wait to give this a try!
Check out more pictures from the beautiful site after the jump.

The oh, so Mysterious Al has released 4 limited edition prints called Pisstake Marilyn (Goth). Mysterious Al’s screen prints seem inspired by the color blocked screen prints that Andy Warhol did of Marilyn, but Al has added his trademark droopy eyes and gnarling mouth to give it the unmistakable Mysterious Al touch. Each of the prints are printed on 100% French Arches paper and each color is limited to an edition of 25. I feel like if I get one, I need all four to make the set complete! You can purchase them at his online store here. Act fast before they’re all gone!
