While most of us are bringing our bikinis out of winter hibernation and prepping for summertime, the ladies at MadeMe have been hard at work shooting their Fall 2009 lookbook, and luckily for us, they’ve filmed it!
MadeMe’s fall collection is reminiscent of the grunge-themed ’90s, when Kurt Cobain and Nirvana reigned supreme (but a more glammed up version, of course). The pieces are slated to hit stores this August - right in time for back-to-school, so take note.
It might be difficult to even think about August at this time—after all, summer’s just getting started—but it’s worthwhile to take this opportunity and get a behind-the-scenes look at the laborious process that goes into shooting the perfect looks we all take for granted. We tipped you off to the Dust La Rock event last week and we hope you didn’t decide to Netflix instead….because this event was off the meat rack!
After a fast-moving line at the Christopher Henry Gallery on Elizabeth Street, we checked out the first floor of Dust La Rock’s “Best of the Beast” (BOTB) exhibit and were greeted with some cold Red Stripes. Good way to butter us up. The night got exponentially better from there, because by the second floor the art got pretty boss.
