The Goods! At Marmalade Vintage Are Here!

Liz Baca of The Goods! At Marmalade Vintage

Our co-founder Liz Baca’s The Goods! At Marmalade Vintage Pop-up shop opened this past Tuesday, so I obviously had to pop by to get a chic peek of the outrageous vintage fashions that she is known for.  And Miss Baca, in her suspendered skirt, crop top, and “never not raving” lime green ass kicking boots were retro-modern vision. The shop was packed to the gills with friends, shoppers, and well wishers perusing the colorful array of clothing, shoes, and jewelry to the jams of 80′s and early 90′s freestyle tunes.

You can find everything from sparkly tops to solid bottoms,  intricately woven sweaters, and statement outerwear spanning the ages at The Goods! at Marmalade Vintage until November 3rd. Additionally, you can also find Ms. Busy Lady and the Marmalade crew sharing a booth (#69) at the Manhattan Vintage clothing show on Friday 10/21 and Saturday 10/22 from 1-6pm

Stylelikeu Book Release Next Week!

Created by the fabulous mother-daughter team of Elisa Goodkind and Lily Mandelbaum, Stylelikeu invades the homes—but more importantly closets—of the most stylish people on the streets of New York, Los Angeles, London, and more.  Their first book, published by powerHouse Books, is now available through Amazon.

It’s all about individual style at Stylelikeu, so you won’t find any celebrity looks really, rather, your very fashionable next door neighbor. Some sessions take up to three hours as, Stylelikeu photographs each fashionable person in several different looks of the subject’s choosing.

To probe deeper into each subject’s personal style, they conduct intimate interviews on their ambitions, influences, and dreams, making each portrait so much more than yet another street photograph. From the most personal pieces in their subjects’ wardrobes, to the favorite books on their shelves, to the most precious objects in their homes, Stylelikeu goes far beyond mere appearances to showcase how creativity is fostered and manifested by living in the most stylish way of all: true to oneself.

I’ll definitely be getting a copy as I love to be inspired by other individuals who have their own unique sense of style, original and true. Whatever the case, I’m awaiting your arrival ladies! ;]

Liz Baca Featured On StyleLikeU

Miss Omni Media’s very own Liz Baca has been featured on personal style “online experience”, Stylelikeu. Showcasing a stunning array of vintage goodies, Ms. Baca goes on to describe her love for Bakelite bangles, Mickey Mouse, and multifaceted genres. Says the radiant vintage collector/dealer/stylist and Co-Founder of Miss Omni Media, “Ever since I was a child I’ve been told I have an old soul. I’ve always been intrigued by older women and how they dress. Perhaps it’s the experience that comes across in the way that mature women wear their clothing.”
