Short Bio:

Jenessa started writing about fashion when her 3rd grade class started a “newspaper,” it’s been on ever since. When she was 13 she discovered John Galliano, at 14 she opened the pages of Kevyn Aucoin’s Face Forward book, after pouring over the book for months and hours practicing on her couch she knew that fashion had landed on her lap.

Today Jenessa runs the RIFE Studio in Chicopee, MA. Her space is inside the Cabotville Industrial Park alongside photographers, artists, two local magazines and overlooks the valleys of Western Massachusetts. It’s your typical massive New England industrial building, both eerie and awe inspiring. The space has produced art shows, film screenings, and fashion shows. Jenessa has contributed her makeup skills to area fashion shows as well as in Philadelphia where she went to school. Soon she will be retailing some handcrafted wares and Lime Crime makeup.

Music plays a major role in Jenessa’s activities. She can be found roaming the streets of her area cities because she’s usually at a show. Some of her fashion inspirations include Gwen Stefani, Karen O, Grace Coddington, Simon Doonan, Pat McGrath, and Linda Mason because they are clever with their approach to fashion, androgyny, the ’60′s, the ’70′s, and LIFE. She believes she was born in the wrong era.
