Irregular Choice has been one of my favorite shoe companies ever since I bought my first pair a few years back. Everything from the vibrant red of the shoe, the mini heel and the candy striped bobbles on my toes . . . it was love at first sight. Those red babies are a staple in my wardrobe and they always add the right flair to any get-up.

It should come as no surprise that the story of founder and designer, Danny Sullivan, is as varied and unique as the shoes he creates. Fashion, it seems, runs in the family - his parents had a store in London’s King’s Road in the 70’s and 80’s called Transport. Though Danny has no formal training, he always manages to surprise and inspire with his fashion-forward designs.

Irregular Choice has also fun collaborative projects. The Blythe Collection really captured the essence of the quintissential doll - a perfect pairing of the classic retro Blythe with the edgier and stylish Irregular Choice. And anything Blythe would not be complete without the beautiful shots done by Gina Garan.

More recently, Heatherette and Irregular Choice teamed up to produce the cutest shoes eva! The shoes, designed especially for Heatherette’s Spring/Summer ‘07 fashion show were in such demand that a limited line will be sold online.

I used to have to hunt to find shoe stores that carried the line in the U.S. or look longingly at the U.K-based online shop. No longer!
