FST Handwear Winter 2009-2010
Just because it’s cold outside doesn’t mean you have to look frumpy! Then again, the late King of Pop made it trendy to rock one glove as the pièce de resistance of one’s outfit no matter the weather. FST handwear, hailing from Grenoble, knows how to protect you when it’s cold outside with their stylish gloves, which could be described as gorgeous patterns decorating your hands until the very tip of your fingers.
The first designed city gloves ever, FST, which stands for “For the Street”, features both men and women gloves. Their latest collection winter 2009-2010 showcases splashes of color on a black backdrop. The concept behind these gloves, made in quality French material, is strongly anchored in artistic expression, and is inspired by the sneakers and caps culture.

*I know proper grammar dictates the use of the word “were” not “was” but the title is a tongue in cheek reference to the song Rich Girl song*

I moved to California from New York because I hated the winter – the short days with below zero temperature. Days and days would pass and I would never want to leave my apartment because it was too cold outside. The only way I would brave the cold was to don a down coat. They’re soft, amazingly warm, and the closest thing to walking around wrapped in a comforter. When it comes to down outerwear, no one does it better than Moncler, a company founded in Grenoble, France. Moncler jackets were crafted and perfected for mountain climbers so you know they will keep you warm walking down city streets.
Down quilted jackets can sometimes make you look like the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man – not so with Moncler. The French luxury company always produces puffy jackets that are stylish and sleek. I normally go for matte black but Moncler’s shiny black jackets are the exception – I love them! The silhouettes from their Winter collection are timeless and range from styles inspired by everything from motorcycle jackets to pea coats. In addition to the regular collection, Moncler also produces a line called Gamme Rouge, designed by Giambattista Valli. The Gamme Rouge collection is gorgeous, high fashion outerwear. Dramatic sleeves, ruffles, pleats, bows and feathers, the Gamme Rouge collection has it all. I was looking through the collection and it was difficult for me to narrow down just a few favorites . . .I had 30! Soooo, if I were a rich girl, I would want a Moncler for every day of the month. Check out the rest of my favorites after the jump.
