Jeremy Scott’s highly anticipated S/S 09 “Let Them Eat Gas” collection has finally been launched on Las Vegas’ finest, FRUITION!

This is not the first time M.I.S.S.’s favourite Jeremy Scott has come together with FRUITION to launch his wild, fun and tongue-in-cheek collections! The last taste of Scott on FRUITION being his $15 pin badges made of scrap materials from previous collections (and a couple from this s/s 09 one!), which dropped in early March.  If you go now you may still have a chance of catching some before they are all sold, click here!

Hit up FRUITION and prepare to salivate over all the Jeremy Scott “Let Them Eat Gas” goods, I sure did! Jeremy Scott has come through with his ‘A’ game once again with the S/S 09 collection. With inspirations deriving from the French Revolution fused with the flare of the 80s, this is most definitely a unique and jaw-dropping collection. My love of leggings and floral prints has made Scott’s ‘Floral Flights’ leggings a personal favourite! A pretty special and aesthetically beautiful piece from the collection is the ‘Hoody in Bloom’ zip jacket, which is also available on FRUITION. The delicate 3-D pleats and curve details on the sleeves are used to resemble a blooming rose which makes this one hell of a stand out jacket!

Fruition received Jeremy Scott’s Opulence Collection and I had to pick my jaw up off the floor when I saw all the pieces.  I want all of them!  From the Rolls Royce dress and Drawer dress to the Rococo Ghetto and Bookshelf leggings, each of the pieces is pure expression of “opulence” in every form.  I also love the sweater that reads “I am a luxury few could afford.” It’s true, be ready to pay a pretty penny for these pieces but they’re guaranteed to be collector’s pieces. Fruition Las Vegas recently re-launched their site with a brand new look - and it looks amazing!  Their look book is incredible with the most delectable vintage street wear finds mixed in with modern pieces.  They always manage to create great looks and photos are beautiful.  They also had the pleasure of working with Nikki Jean who can be seen in their new look book.  If you’re ever in Vegas this is one of the places you must go see.  Not only are the products unique, the folks behind Fruition are genuinely sweet.

   Dr. Romanelli has launched a “Farm Fresh” collaboration with Fruition for Spring 2008.  Some of you may have already seen the clothing.   The Doctor’s  familiar hodgepodge aesthetic of fleece - meets track jkts - meets crazy quilt - is amazing of course.  I know we talk a lot about clothes on this blog.   However, I would like to focus on the graphic design surrounding this collabo. I find it quite ingenious, and would like to give praise to whomever was responsible for design directing and executing the graphics for this “Farm Fresh” collaboration.  Inspired by vintage signage and fruit crate labels, the images creatively blend the advertising of yesteryear with the Romanelli-Fruition flair.   There was thought and obvious flawless talent put behind this presentation.  It’s extremely refreshing to see that it does not fit the mold of the majority of streetwear graphics that are currently flooding this industry.  I work in the design field and I am surrounded by graphic/fashion design every day.  When I see artwork executed like this, it makes me remember why I got into this crazy biz.   Read the full story
