Reel U Films is proud to announce that the incredible award-winning film War Child will be making it’s theatrical debut in New York City and Washington DC this November and December. War Child tells the remarkable life story of Sudanese hip hop artist Emmanuel Jal. Once a child soldier in Sudan’s civil war, Jal has made it his mission to bring peace to his beloved Sudan and build schools in Africa. 5% of the gross receipts (first money in) goes to Gua Africa - a non profit that was set up to build a school in Leer, Sudan.
War Child opens tomorrow night (Friday, November 14th) at Village East Cinema in NYC and will run through Thursday, November 20th. Following that, it will begin it’s run at the Landmark E Street Theatre in Washington DC on December 5th. Read the full story
