Huffer Looks After The Ladies!

Hailing from New Zealand, Huffer has quietly been doing its thing for a while now. Initially starting out as a board sports brand in the late nineties, the brand has expanded into a fully-fledged streetwear label with stockists in New Zealand, Australia, Japan, Europe and the US. With a strong focus on style and functionality, these guys bring amazing construction and design to the game while keeping their feet firmly planted in the street. The team over at Digital Gravel has picked up the label and have a couple of gems for us ladies!

The ‘Snapper’ women’s jacket is nice and long with four buttoned external pockets and features a button and zip closure combo up to the hood. There’s also a waist strap for a snug fit giving it an almost short-trench kinda feel. The inside lining is a soft green and navy flannel (keeping you comfy and warm on the inside!) and makes a popping contrast to the black outer. There’s also a hidden buttoned interior pocket for anything you need to keep safely tucked away.

Keep reading to see more from Huffer!

DG Water Project – Ladies, Your Help Is Needed!

DG Water Project

DG Water Project

This week, Digital Gravel debuted The Water Project, a charity fundraising drive to raise $14,000 to buy a clean water PlayPump for a village in Africa.

The DG Water Project is our first full-fledged charity project. We have teamed up with 10 of your favorite brands who have all donated their time and skills to create a limited edition set of tees. This collection will only be printed on 24 men’s tees, 12 women’s tees and 24 hooded sweatshirts. All proceeds from the sale of these items will go towards building a clean water playpump in Africa which can easily deliver clean water to a village of 2,500 people for 10 years. Please help us support this great cause! For more information on playpumps please visit, http://www.playpumps.org.

If you visit the site, you will see that many of the designs, from brands like The Hundreds, Staple Design, Nonsense, and 3Sixteen are sold out for men, but there are still some tees available for the ladies. So there is still an opportunity to pitch in, and help them reach their goal of $14,000. In the meantime, you also get a limited edition t-shirt that by simply sporting, you can help spread awareness to the cause of simply and easily providing clean water to people in need in impoverished areas of Africa, by doing something as simple as building playgrounds for children.

After the jump, check out the remaining designs that still have stock in women’s sizes. Click on them to go directly to the site for purchase.

Merci, I Selector!

The nice folk over at reggae inspired brand Selector! sent me over this Damion Silver designed, Salutation of Peace hand sign t-shirt, emblazoned with the words “Let Hands and Heart Be Pure and Clean.” This hand-sign is commonly used in Rastafarian greeting, to symbolize the Seal of Solomon, as done by Haile Selassie. The quote is a reworking of Bible Psalm 24:4 which reads “He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully” and has been adopted in songs by legendary roots singers Horace Andy (who you may recognize from his work with Massive Attack), and The Gladiators, to name a few.

Selector! produced ladies tees for the very first time this season, and they are available online exclusively at Digital Gravel. Check some more of their reggaelicious designs after the jump. Read the full story

New Women’s Homeroom Tees on Digital Gravel

homeroom clothing

Homeroom just released some new women’s tees on Digital Gravel today.  The styles include a James Dean graphic, my favorite rebel ever.  Not only was he handsome, he’s a true style icon spurring the denim jeans, white t-shirt and black leather jacket look, a look later replicated by The Fonz, and now by me almost on a daily basis.  The second graphic depicts the bones of a woman’s foot when wearing a stiletto.  I always knew wearing stilettos was painful and not good for your feet or legs but if there were any doubts, just take a look at this tee.  The shirts are available in several colorways and can be purchased here.
