Our favorite multi-sensory t-shirt line, Cream Of The Crop, just released its third season, “The Third Time’s The Charm.” This collection is inspired by all things luxurious - think big crystal chandeliers, Bond No.9 Candles and the ubiquitous Chanel perfume bottle. We gave you a sneak peak of what’s to come this holiday season at Magic, but I always love to see the shirts as characters in the stories that designers layout for us in their look books. Mika, the founder and designer of Cream does not disappoint. Her tale of a young woman out on the town is really cute and I especially love the styling of her chandelier top (down to the hearts on the stockings!). And, of course, each tee is scented with a theme-appropriate scent! So kawaii!!

Spiff is a scent-based clothing line designed by Japanese model, Mayuko Asano of Elite Models. All of the products have a different natural scent, from suntan lotion to grapes, you’re “scratch ‘n sniff” dreams have come true. Spiff features clean simple graphics on bright tees and my favorites are the “RIP YSL” and heart lace pocket designs. All the tees are under $50 and hoodies are under $100.

Thursday night we got all fancied up and went to the MOB x Missbehave Magazine fashion week party, “The Bad & The Beautiful.” The soiree was at the Red Bull Center and we got the chance to see lots of people that we don’t get to see on the daily. Afterward, we went over to the WAD party at Hiro. Here’s all the good folks we saw: Missbehave Magazine ladies, MOB posse, Uffie, Annie from Cubannie Links, Wendy from Nitrolicious, YM from Freshness, Mika from Cream, Michelle Ten, Mel D. Cole, Brian Lichtenberg, Dee & Ricky, Erin from Made Me, Radio Rose, Alice, j.e.w.e.l.s, Kari and Ron. You can see pics from the party here and here. And we have a few pics after the jump . . .

A lot of street wear tees are usually based around the idea of “playing” with a famous logo or piece of art. It’s not a new concept, people have been doing it forever. Everything from Tide (early Freshjive) to Warhol portraits (1/2 the brands out there) have been given a twist to further the message of small brands. The tees I saw in Vegas were no different - but I did feel like there was a giant increase in the number of tees touting very high end brands. This too is not new, but I felt that this time around there were so many more. Maybe it’s the economy crunch? Can’t afford real YSL but I can feel close to the brand by wearing a tee with it’s logo? Or, maybe it’s a t-shirt brands way of aligning itself with what it thinks is cool, for example, girls that like Chanel should like my brand. Whatever it is, there were a million (not quite, but almost) of these “designer” tees - I didn’t take pics of most of them but I’d be confident in saying that almost half of the clothing brands we looked at had some kind of designer reference - Chanel and Karl being the most used. We even saw a shoe that made a designer reference.
Oh, and by the way, word on the street is that Fucking Awesome is coming back and re-issuing the Karl Lagerfeld “Gangsta Situations” tee (Yay!) - you heard it here first. Check out more pics after the jump . . . .

Uuuuugh, I hate money, I love money. It is a necessary evil to say the least. And for real though, C.R.E.A.M., Cash Rules Everything Around Me, there has never been a statement more true. I just had a meeting with a potential financial planner yesterday. The signs of being an adult, a full-on grown-up become more and more obvious everyday (and I ain’t talking wrinkles and grey hairs, thank-you very much!). But I’ve got dreams baby, goals set out and most of it starts with the financials. A friend sent along a link to this new site Eating Cake, ‘A Girls Guide to Surviving the Credit Crunch…

Earlier this year we posted about Cream, an adorable line of ladies’ tees that are scented. Cream just released a new batch of tees and they are as cute and yummy smelling as ever! There are 3 mini-collections: Marin de Cream, Creamy Sweetness and the Signature Series. My favorite is the Marin de Cream - a nautically inspired series of tees that smell, appropriately enough, like coconut! Who doesn’t love the smell of coconut tanning oil? That scent always brings me back to the beach. Creamy Sweetness smells just like it sounds and the tees are kawaii and smell like strawberries. The Signature Series is some of the most popular styles re-issued in different colors. You can get the tees online at Karmaloop. Happy Scratching & Sniffing!
