M.I.S.S. Techcessories: Powercup Inverter Charges Gadgets; Resembles a Cup of Coffee

The beans in this cup are packed with a different kind of energy!

Throw out that venti mocha latte from Starbucks occupying your in-car cup holder and replace it with something a lot more useful: the Powercup Inverter.  True to its name, the Powercup Inverter resembles a coffee cup but provides a caffeine to your electronics instead.  It plugs into your cars cigarette lighter and converts the normally 12V charge to 120V.  The Powercup Converter allows you to charge three things simultaneously, so you could theoretically hook up a TV, a DVD player, and maybe a Nintendo Wii while you’re at it to occupy your backseat passengers.   There’s even a USB socket for charging up your MP3 player of choice.

You can get one from Think Geek for $30.

The Punch Coffee Mug

Some mornings, I feel like I need a good punch in the face to wake up and other times, I just want to punch people…but—do not be alarmed—I’m not a violent person nor do I like getting punched in the face.

With all that said, I want this mug. Bad. It’s designed by industrial designer, J. C. Karich and it’s a little on the genius side.

Um, I have the sudden urge to double-fist with my coffee mugs. Yeah. Pun hella intended. ;)

Mama’s Kitchen: Thai Iced Coffee

thai iced coffee

I love Coffee. I drink it everyday, at least twice a day. I usually make my “wake up” coffee in the morning and in the afternoon I usually head over to the coffee shop for a mid-afternoon pick-me-up. I take it Medium Light and Super Sweet (super sugary with a dash of heavy whipping cream). Sometimes I use brown sugar and add cinnamon. Yum. It’s delicious, comforting, and a jolt when you need it to be. When the weather gets warmer, I switch to iced coffee. My favorite kind? Thai Iced Coffee: Sweet, creamy, and yummy.I used to drink Thai iced coffee at this coffee shop in Philly where I spent most of my time in college. I wasn’t able to get work done at the library, but put me in a coffee shop with some music and coffee and I was good to go. Anyway, it was the only coffee spot that had Thai iced coffee and when I left college I had to find out how to make it for myself. It’s still one of my favorite types of coffees and you don’t need to go to a Thai restaurant to get it because it’s super easy to make. Check out the recipe, pictures and tips after the jump.
