LUTZ Spring Summer 2010 Accessories
At the end of last year, we got to preview LUTZ’s simple, yet beautifully constructed pieces from the SS10 ready to wear collection. This time round, we get to have a look at LUTZ’s new line of accessories- a collection of shoes and handbags- for SS10. Keeping inline with the theme of the RTW SS10 collection, with inspirations deriving from the movement of garments in the air; wind swept, darted, torn, this small collection reinforces the importance in the quality of the individual pieces over the quantity.
The collection of accessories consists of two beautiful leather handbags and two clutches made from fine luxurious lambskin. Similar to the RTW SS10 collection, these handbags are also constructed with the use of pleats and curves which exudes a sense of elegance, a quality unattainable from your average leather handbag.

After two consecutive, and not to mention successful, years collaborating with shoe designer Robert Clergerie, these two designers have come together yet again for another collection of limited edition shoes. We saw the naughty but nice AW 09/10 collaboration collection in May 2009, and we approved! For SS10, the LUTZ by Robert Clergerie collection will include three pairs of leather sandals, all of which vary in heel sizes. This is perfect for ladies like myself who are not overly comfortable trotting around in the highest of heels!
LUTZ SS10 accessories are available worldwide in all LUTZ stockists. Check out more from LUTZ SS10 on the LUTZ website.

Like all good leather goods brands, BYSOG (Armenian for “handbag”) is one steeped with family tradition. Vic and Chris Vartanian were mentored from a young age on the ins and outs of the industry by their father John, founder of Manolucci Handbag Manufacturing. After working with countless independent and commercial designers, the brothers have come to appreciate the importance of design and quality. The BYSOG Bag Collection is the brothers’ first forray into the luxury market with a range of bags for women and men, with soon-to-be-released lines for babies and pets.
While the range has a variety of bags, the real show-stoppers in the collection are the clutches, with a striking highlight being the Cobra – a classic shaped clutch with a reptilian twist.

The simple Relapse Clutch – made to be cute and easy to grab and go!

And last of all the family favourite Liz Clutch – a classic staple originally designed in 1983 by the brothers’ father and uncle, that can be used folded or unfolded to allow for extra storage.

All pieces are made from an exotic sun-dried goat skin, coated with a light gloss, and come in four popping vegetable-dyed colours: Fierce Fuscia, Bitter Yello, Orange Kush, and Agua Blues. There are also two choices of hardware (brass or gun metal) and lining (Womens Lining and Black Cotton Lining), and the option to have your name branded into the leather – to give it that extra personal touch.
You can check out the full range at the BYSOG website.

Claflin, Thayer & CO. – accessories and leather goods
“I want to live in a world where everyone wears bright colors and geometric patterns all the time.”- Liz Thayer
I couldn’t agree more. Claflin, Thayer & CO. is an accessory and leather goods company created by designer, Liz Thayer. The must have accessories include canvas bags, leather bags and pillows. All of the canvas bags and pillows are hand painted with non toxic, fade resistant, permanent paints. The colors she uses are exceptionally bright and the ‘Painted Ikat’ prints are sure to bring a healthy dose of excitement to any outfit or as an companion to your everyday bag – you know it needs some organizing.
The leather bags come from recycled leather and to be honest, I just can’t pick a favorite. Perhaps the Roads clutch or the Leather Cement clutch. Why choose? I would much rather collect! These bags come at such a sweet price point, the range is $27-66.

Also, I must mention the fantastic Ikat pillows, $63. The lively prints will enhance any room. Liz offers care instructions on her website. Besides the online store, she keeps an updated blog featuring new items in the works, style inspiration, and you need to see the sick treehouse she hangs out in. You can get it all online here.

Linda and Leroy is a boutique handbag lne that celebrates the juxtaposition of edge and elegance. Each exquisitely crafted bag is handmade in New York City using the highest quality lamb and goat skins from Italy, Spain, the U.K. and New Zealand. The luxurious materials, vivid colors, slightly offbeat yet exceptionally thoughtful detailing of each bag, makes each piece a timeless wardrobe staple.
I had the chance to see the Viva Lace collection at L’Art Bizarre and these bags are beautiful. The leather is so soft and the bag is available in striking colors like lemon ice, seaside and concord grape. All the bags feature French lace trim and retail for $500. Check out the rest of the pics after the jump.
