M.I.S.S. July 2009: Reebok Basquait Freestyle Hi Beat Bop

There is so much to celebrate this July! Besides the obvious BBQ filled days that are fast approaching this 4th of July weekend, this month is also another release in the Reebok Basquiat Freestyle Hi Beat Bop series.  This ongoing series has an offering of two styles for the ladies and two for the men. This Fall 09 pack are in a black and white color pallet and continue to pay homage to Basquiat’s art. His artwork graces the Freestyle Hi and nails to match. Keep your kit tight.

Often times we aren’t satisfied with our situation and look towards others thinking they have it better. Vintage cow kicks or not, we are in charge of our own life and destiny…focusing on others’ achievements and feeling sorry for yourself is a waste of time and energy and only puts you further behind. Look at the grass around you and if it isn’t as “green” as you wish make changes and adjustments to get to where you want to be. Times are tough for everyone right now, get creative, this is your time to shine! So bust some “Freestyle Mooooooves!” and M.I.S.S. will be here for you until the cows come home! Ok, we’re done

Chanel has just announced that Gold is a central theme of it’s Fall 08 and Holiday 08 cosmetics collections. These are the first makeup collections by Peter Philips, the new creative director of makeup at Chanel. For his first collection, he took inspiration from Coco Chanel’s personal apartment on Rue Cambon which he found very warm with rich colors surrounding him like earthy browns, gold-gilded frames and crystal chandeliers. The collection includes a gold nail polish called Gold Fiction and Kaléidoscope (a shiny green gold) for fall and a gold brown nail polish called Haute Chocolate for holiday. Will these colors become the next it colors like Vamp, Black Satin and Blue Satin? I guess only time will tell. The collection also includes gold lip gloss, gold highlighting powder and a black eyeliner with gold sparkle. I think the colors will be popular and they are very seasonal since Fall usually favors rich color and Holiday always has a little bit of glitz for all the holiday festivities. The Fall collection will be available in stores beginning in July and the Holiday collection in October.
