Kat Von D—the tattoo artist we know and love from L.A. Ink—has decorated a super-exclusive and edgy line just for Sephora! Sephora Beauty TV caught up with her for a preview of her super edgy new product line (she’s wearing it in the video) that will be debuting at Sephora in mid May. Check out the packaging she designed based on one of her favorite rose tattoos. The lipstick comes only in shades of red. The product names will sound familiar to those that stay up with L.A. Ink—her signature palette is named after her cat, Ludwig. More in the video!
As a graphic designer, it’s very important for me to work with someone who can interpret the world I’m not able to immediately capture through my art. Working with these ladies has inspired finished products that leave me filled with gratitude and satisfaction.
Today’s post is on Isabel Muñoz, who is one of the most important and exciting figures in photography today but I can honestly say that I see Amanda Lopez and Nina Parks both being introduced in that same way, in the near future. Read on…
Since women want it all, Benefit has come up with a “get what you want, when you want” limited edition palette for spring. The shades include colors like pink and gold to give your eyes a heavenly glow.
The economy might be on a steady decline and on the verge of a recession, but Tyra Banks has still managed to bring back another group of model hopefuls for the tenth season of America’s Next Top Model.
The girls range in ages from 18 to 25 and will be competing for the same $100,000 contract with Cover Girl cosmetics and an appearance in a fashion spread in Seventeen magazine like the contestants last season
Can you believe it’s been ten season already?
It seems like it was just yesterday Bri was dumping out all of Nicole’s Red Bulls, Rebecca was fainting before the judges panel, and Natasha was talking about how she came to America via a mail-order bride service. (That didn’t happen, but you know something was fishy about her husband.)
Oh, that’s right. It literally was yesterday courtesy of another ANTM marathon on MTV. This.Has.Got.To.Stop.
Years ago, one of my best friends, an esthetician, gave me a wooden brush made with natural hair and short nubby rubber bristles. She told me to use it on my skin before I showered and that I would like it cause it would “help my poor circulation. I’m not at all discriminatory, especially when it comes to health and beauty alternatives, so I did what she instructed, and lo and behold, I was hooked because it feels really good. Some years later, after further research into natural beauty regimens, I realized what I was actually doing had a name for it. Turns out it is called, dry skin brushing, which has the additional health benefits of removing dead skin cells and stimulating the lymphatic system, thus flushing toxins from the body. It also makes your skin incredibly smooth and soft. And shoot, I’ve had no complaints! Anyhow, this week’s tip is how to do it.
We are crushing on Richie Rich - the other half of Heatherette - right now.
Last week, we posted a interview of Richie Rich with Karmaloop Tv, and in the four minute segment, he discussed everything from his first encounter with wild child Paris Hilton to his inaccurate portrayal in Party Monster.
However, what has made us watch this interview at least five times now has nothing to do with the awkward pauses and glances exchanged between the two men, but it’s when Richie Rich starts talking to the interviewer about “glitter tantrums.
Yes, it was priceless and it has only made us even more anxious to see what is hiding behind the pink Barbie-esque like packaging in Heatherette’s new cosmetics line!
Although full details have not been made available, we do know that the limited edition Mac and Heatherette collaboration will hit counters on March 27. Expect all of this to disappear very quickly when its released.
We love what we see so far, but wouldn’t you expect more glitter? Also, silver nails for spring?
Each year, my plan for New Year’s Eve is to have that perfect party outfit to match party perfect makeup. And as most of us know, New Year’s Eve festivities can go well into the wee hours of the morning, and so I like to have eye make up that can hang tough throughout, since lipstick can always be applied quite chicly, discreetly, and with a quickness in public. So my last official pick for 2007 is: Shiseido’s The Makeup Accentuating Creamy Eyeliner.
