On my most recent trip to NYC I managed to get out and about and hit up the FILA launch party for their “Melrose” sneaker. This MissBehave sponsored event had the people lined up down the block…in the rain. Big thanks to Christine from MissBehave, good looking out lady! Radio Rose held things down and provided a most excellent soundtrack for the night. All the ladies where in the house this night…ATWG, Female Sneakerfiend, Highsnobette, Bubblegum Pony and Erin from MadeMe. And of course Nina Sky. These ladies do the damn thing! More beautiful in person they held the crowd at attention as they preformed…they even got the people to “put your hands up in the air”. Um, I was busy videoing, so I opted to not “put my hands up” but enjoyed the evening nonetheless.
The Melrose in action!
See more picts, nails did and videos of the ladies of Nina Sky doing the damn thing…including their version of the Eurythmics “Sweet Dreams”, sooooo hot!
I know what I’ll be doing Sunady! Hanging with Ms. Radio Rose and the ladies for an evening of vintage clothing shopping, dranks and music! Funky Fannys and Around The Way Girls is bringing you a ladies night that is sure to be crazy fun! RSVP to: funkyfannys@gmail.com
Tonight is the night ya’ll! Get down with the MISSBEHAVE crew as they team up with Fila to launch the Melrose sneaker. Performances by Nina Sky and Radio Rose holding it down on the 1’s n 2’s. Also pick up the lastest copy of MISSBEHAVE with Chloe Sivigney on the cover, holla! RSVP to rsvp@fila.com
I couldn’t think of a more deserving lady to be selected as ‘Worship Worthy‘. This lady works so many hustle’s and does each one likes it’s her only one. She’s one of the most real and down-to-earth people I have had the pleasure of meeting in the fashion industry and one of the very important people I always look forward to seeing when I get out to NYC. EXTRA, EXTRA read allllllll about her HERE! Congrats Radio Rose, Heeeeeeeeey!

Last Wednesday, Radio Rose invited us into the studio to keep her company while she recorded one of her upcoming interweb radio programs, “Girl’s Town” for Children of Da Curb and PNC Radio. The studio is in DUMBO (Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass), and had a stupendous view. I even finally got to see the NYC Waterfalls by Olafur Eliasson - so exciting! Recording the show was lots of silly fun - it was a full on dance party with tons of old school freestyle or as Rose calls it, Puerto Rican R&B with lots of 80s dance tunes thrown in for good measure. The show won’t go live for a few weeks but we’ll let you know when it launches - stay tuned! Many thanks to Rose for inviting M.I.S.S.! Check out more pics and some video of the dance party after the jump . . .
