As if there aren’t enough Siren styles to turn any women into a seductress, Agent Provocateur has added a new look called “Anastassia. ” The “Anastassia” range made from sheer black tulle with satin inlays and comes in three pieces: a high-waisted brief that’s made to accentuate and elongate the waist, a soft cup bra with a cute tuxedo style faux collar along the edges of the cups, and a daring halter body suit that makes the torso look longer and waist and hips look curvier. As part of the promotion for their spring/summer collections, luxury lingerie retailer Agent Provocateur has released a short, yet deadly sexy, film showcasing the spirit of the lines. M.I.S.S first brought you the scoop on the Agent Provocateur’s Spring 09 collection a few weeks ago, but the dynamic multi-media look book really brings the designs alive! Following a group of scantily clad (but in a good way!) seductresses, the video features romantic, vivid colors and a dreamy aesthetic to play off of the Greek myth of the Sirens (a group of women who, according to ancient lore, used their hypnotic voices to lure men at sea back to their deserted island).
With bra-panty-and-garter sets such as the “Kathleen,” a sexy sheer fuchsia mesh with gold ring detailing, or the Liberty rose print and PVC “Mechelle,” it’s easy to see why the line is designed for the woman who wields her seductive powers at will. Follow the ethereal Sirens through a steamy, murky underwater setting to see if their call, and AP’s lingerie, helps them seduce everyone standing in the way of their rabble-rousing dreams. Agent Provocateur always does a great job at bringing their collections to life through their ad campaigns and they recently made a Valentine’s Day “PSA.” I must say, this is not my favorite, their newer campaigns haven’t come close to last year’s White Wedding campaign starring Kate Moss, and shot by Nick Knight. Their newest video, Love Me Tender . . . Or Else, is definitely amusing, but unlike their other campaigns that highlight the lingerie in an artistic way, I felt this video was made by boys for boys. Nonetheless, the lingerie is sexy as ever and with Valentine’s Day so close, you may want to start saving your pennies for some new A.P.
Agent Provocateur, puts together some of the most innovative, beautifully made interactive experiences from White Wedding (created by Nick Knight) to their new collection, Pirate Provocateaur. Inspired by pirates plundering booty at sea, the Pirate Provocateur collection features lingerie pieces in black with splashes of red. The collection leather hot pants, to structured corsets and lacy slips. The website was updated, complete with mini interactive film where you get to choose your way throughout the story. It features naughty pirates clad in sexy Agent Provocateur lingerie. Kate Moss is not the face of this campaign, instead, Helena Christensen is playing her “wicked games” for AP this season. The collection is beautiful, and as always, I want it all. I also really admire the way they market each campaign - it’s more than just pretty pictures. They find great models and celebrities to be the face of their campaign, and AP always pushes the edge of technology.
