The Real KESH SS09

Tuesday, November 18th, 2008

I was first “introduced” to Kesh via thee MySpace a couple of years ago. At the time it was her “KESHirts” that caught my eye (and her insanely huge hair…I kinda luv insanely huge hair). Her “KESHirts” are super limited t-shirts she would design and sell via myspace and word of mouth. Rocked by the likes of Lupe Fiasco and Kanye, they would sell-out fast every time! This talented young lass (she recently turned 22) is a self-made star! A model, dj (she rocked it at the Jeremy Scott Adidas Fashion show in Paris and can be seen doing her thing out and about across the Globe), graphic artist and fashion designer, she’s doing it big in both London and NYC. This past Fashion Week in NY, she was asked to present a collection for SS09. She had twelve days to whip something up, which for some might seem like an arduous task but this gal has been known to bust out a frock in a half hours time and rock it that same night….soooooooo, twelve days, provided her plenty of time to create a collection, a menswear collection no doubt! Tailored pants are serious business! Put on by The Fader and held at The Anonymous Gallery, peep her tech in these videos!

THE KENDO ZX800

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

Kendo is part of the Adidas AZX project that brought together the most elite boutiques from around
the world. This is Kendo’s first sneaker collab and it’s a hottie in a dope colorway of purple, grey and turquiose.  The LA boutique represents the “Kâ€? and they were the only women’s shoe represented in the entire collection. It’s crazy how shoe companies just disregard half the population! THIS JUST IN:  Ladies Love Kicks too!  At least the boys from Kendo represented for the ladies.  Hopefully, they’ll get some ladies representing for ladies soon :)  The shoes released yesterday and are available at Kendo.

Lori of Female Sneaker Fiend has been holding it down for the ladies who love sneakers from day one.  I remember stumbling upon her site a few years ago and it was like a ray of light shining down from the heavens.  If you haven’t been to Female Sneaker Fiend, it has everything you would ever want to know about kicks, and the ladies who love them.  Their newest feature is an internship guide - brilliant!  Lots of ladies love cool kicks but want to work in the game as well.  Well, here’s your chance to get some experience and pay some dues - internship style.  Check out the list of impressive positions ranging from FSF, Adidas, Nike, Puma, Keep and Reebok.  And, we’re on there as well, so if you want a piece of the action, get to it!

P.S. - Boston area ladies save the date!  FSF is hosting a party on September 20th - details coming soon!

More Hot Tub Action!!

Thursday, August 7th, 2008

Here are a few more picts from the Adidas Original Party that happened in Berkeley a few weeks back. The ladies of Hot Tub are no joke. They hella go! They get stupid, hyphy and dumb! There’s moshing, rolling around on the ground, usually some stage diving (if there is a stage) and most certainly crowd surfing.  All bets are off when they throw down, even the mannequins aren’t safe!! See more picts and video here.

Coco Machete gettin’ down under…

Loli Pop’n it cause she’s hot…

see more hyphness after jump!
