M.I.S.S. Vegas Review: M.I.C. at Pool

Sunday, August 31st, 2008

M.I.C. (”Made In California”) is a unique line of clothes that incorporates vintage materials and resources into the pieces.  The line features t-shirts and french terry pieces.  The tees are made with vintage bandanas and are available for men and women so you and your man can match if you’re into that sort of thing.  The french terry pieces were made of colorful stripes straight outta the 70s complete with mini pompoms like the ones on the back of your tennis socks as a kid.  Since the pieces are made sourcing vintage materials, you’re guaranteed to have a piece that is unique.  Check out more of the collection after the jump.

Saturday, August 16th, 2008

Had enough of the 80s flashbacks? Put away your leggings, neon and oversize tees - the next revival is here and it’s all about the 1970s. Think disco at Studio 54, David Bowie and Glam Rock, Charlie’s Angels feathered hair and Led Zeppelin and their groupies. The 1970s were known for glamorous makeup and MAC has all the products you need to get the look here. I’m so excited for this look! I just got a new disco dress and now I know where to get the makeup to match. Now, I just need some disco dancing shoes!

Chanel Cruise 2009 - Pics From Miami!

Saturday, May 17th, 2008

chanel cruise I couldn’t wait to see to see the pictures from the show in Miami and I have to say, it was definitely worth the wait. Karl Lagerfeld never disappoints and this season’s resort show looked amazing. The models “walked on water” with a custom catwalk built for the show. Though the show took place in Miami, the aesthetic of the show looked more 1970s inspired with smoking jackets, high waisted leggy pants, disco dresses, wide-brimmed hats, tie-dye shirts and bell-bottom jeans. It looked fabulous in the usual black and white color palette with the addition of pastels like pink, lilac and light blue. BUT my favorite thing by far was the accessories. Check out the chain link/leather giant heart loops with interlocking C’s in them (see photo below). Hello? I need them - like now!! The oversized chain link bracelets and head bands were amazing too. And last but not least, the heart shaped bag with interlocking C’s was also a really cute new twist on the iconic logo.
