I’m still kicking myself on missing out on the Comme des Garçons PLAY for Converse canvas Chuck Taylors so when I saw these images in my inbox I thought maybe this was my opportunity for a second chance. Converse has teamed up with Comme des Garçons PLAY again for to create four new styles of the iconic Converse Pro Leather sneaker.
The all-over Comme des Garçons PLAY print makes these a really fun pair of sneakers. While the Comme des Garçons PLAY Converse Chuck Taylors were very subtle, these scream “look at my feet!” You don’t need to worry about what you wear with them because no one will notice - everyone will just be checkin’ out your kicks.
All styles will be available on Dover Street Market’s website and at the Comme des Garçons NYC store starting May 28, in Paris and London starting June 1 and at Comme des Garçons stores in Tokyo and throughout Asia starting June 21 for a suggested retail price of $130-$140.
Back in February I gave you a look at the Royal Elastics x Love + Made collaboration and now I received some look book images to share. I love the photos, I’ve always wanted to do a shoe photo shoot showing just legs akimbo* and these ladies did a great job. The shoes will be rolling out into stores in the summer so hold tight!
*The phrase legs akimbo is problematic for some. Akimbo actually refers to the position of one’s arms bent at the elbows and placed at the hips. The term akimbo has been increasingly used together with legs to describe one’s legs in a bent position.
