Back in February I gave you a look at the Royal Elastics x Love + Made collaboration and now I received some look book images to share. I love the photos, I’ve always wanted to do a shoe photo shoot showing just legs akimbo* and these ladies did a great job. The shoes will be rolling out into stores in the summer so hold tight!
*The phrase legs akimbo is problematic for some. Akimbo actually refers to the position of one’s arms bent at the elbows and placed at the hips. The term akimbo has been increasingly used together with legs to describe one’s legs in a bent position.
We haven’t heard very much noise from Supra in a while, but this ladies’ only color way of the iconic Supra Vaider is making quite a bit of noise. The shoe features a stark white base with magenta and purple accents around the eyelets and collar and on the sole. Even the laces got speckles of color. The crew over at Supra really put some thought into the construction of this sneaker. It is constructed from leather and mesh so its durable and breathable.
Sneaker companies have finally caught on. This year there has been tons of releases geared towards the female sneakerhead and we’re not complaining. The latest bit of love comes from New Balance. The melon inspired WL574WBG features a pink ripstop nylon upper with green and black accents. Feels a little like summer, right? You can cop these pretty in pink kicks now from retailers including Titolo.
Keds has teamed up with Kate Spade to create the Keds For Kate Spade New York Kick Sneaker. The canvas sneaker features two pretty prints – one featuring black polka dots on a white background and the other a navy blue gingham. Each gets a pop of color with hot pink and red accents respectively. These are the perfect kicks for summer to put some prep in your step! You can get them now on the Kate Spade online store.
Last month at the Project Las Vegas trade show I had the chance to sit down and chat with designer Melody Ehsani. I’ve been a long time fan of her work but it’s been four years since we last did an interview so I caught up with her and asked about her work for Reebok, Jeremy Scott, NCLA and more. Watch the interview below…
