I stumbled upon Mackage because of their Hope coat, a limited-edition coat created to raise breast cancer awareness.  One of the designers of Mackage, Elisa Dahan, wanted to honor her mother and create something that would raise funds to support breast cancer research.  The Hope coat features a white lining with pink bows on it and pink piping on the outside.  Aside from being a fabulous coat, what struck me was how refreshing it is that they didn’t just create a pink coat.  They added pink in small details without sacrificing their aesthetic.  $100 from the sale of each coat is donated to the Breast Cancer Research Fund.

My gadget advisor shared with me that Apple is releasing new Notebooks today. I could have used this info 4 months ago when I bought a new Macbook Pro…but I feel very confident that I will be notified of these things in a more timely manner now…thanks to my G.A. I digress, my apologies, so yes, today Apple is releasing new versions of the MacBook and MacBook Pro. Both are said to be all aluminum and although the thought of an $800 MacBook (this was an early rumor) made me really happy, it seems that was too good to be true. The new iPod Nano is out now and available in 8GB and 16GB. I love products that are cute - but when they are functional AND cute - I absolutely need them in my life. I love how the designer of this gadget rode with concept of the 357 Magnum and even made the hammer and trigger functional!
