About: Susannah Frances Magers

Susannah Frances Magers
Born on this coast and raised on the other, Susannah spends her San Francisco days working at a children's art gallery, with the First Exposures youth mentoring program at SF Camerawork (a non-profit photography gallery and center), riding her bike to Dolores Park, thrift store hunting, discovering new art and artists, eating Bi-Rite ice cream and of course reading and writing for M.I.S.S. Before that, she called Santa Cruz home while an undergrad at UCSC for history and studio art (photography emphasis). Former career paths included photo-journalism and pre school teaching, and while she adores finger painting and building sand castles, her main passion is arts education, which she will be pursuing further in the curatorial practice graduate program at CCA next fall (which may include some finger painting and building of sand castles after all). Recent freelance curatorial endeavors include a Polaroid group show in San Francisco.
