Melody Ehsani may have designed the much-copied “Queen of the Jungle” collection but there’s not disputing that she’s the reigning Queen of Costume Jewelry. I had a chance to catch up with Melody at the Street Hearts section of Project MVMNT. We chatted about her new collection which is very cool – but no pics for you because of the rampant copying of her pieces. You’ll have to wait until March to see it but it’s worth the wait.
What I can show you is a new colorway of her successful collab with Reebok in an all-gold colorway – very fitting for the jewelry designer. And my favorite is her work with designer Jeremy Scott in which she teamed up with him to create the jewelry for his Spring 2013 Arab Spring collection. For the collection Jeremy Scott wanted jewelry that was big and gaudy and Melody Ehsani was happy to oblige with her trademark bold pieces.

why is this attractive???????????????? I don’t find gun glamorizing to be cute
p.s. love your blog Gabriella
Hi cj,
I totally see where you’re coming from. I don’t like glamorizing guns either. That said, you need to look at the pieces in the collection in the right context. The collection was called Arab Spring and took inspiration from the turmoil in the Middle East with people coming together to throw out dictators. Like it or not, guns play a big role in revolutions.
p.s. thank you! xo
