Christmas came early this weekend when I received a package from adidas Originals. I’ve always been a fan of the trefoil emblazoned products – especially the Jeremy Scott collections lately – but when I opened the box to see the surprise within I was astonished.
adidas Originals has just released the limited-edition Melbourne watch in a run of 500, with each watch individually numbered. For Holiday 2012, the Melbourne is constructed of solid steel with rose-gold plating and features 397 stones on the dial, a top ring with 38 stones and a cabachon measuring 5-mm. This is a hefty watch – adidas Originals did not skimp on any way in it’s design. I love that the design has taken it’s cue from men’s watches, with the style of the band and the oversize face of the watch. I’m also loving that the watch is in rose gold – it’s nice to switch up metals and rose gold is gorgeous. Not to mention that the over 400 stones on the watch are pretty fabulous.
