JUST. DO. IT. You’ve heard it, you’ve probably worn it. It’s one of the most iconic and inspiring phrases in advertising. I just came across a video that discusses how Wieden + Kennedy came up with the phrase – you may be a little surprised to see what inspired it!
I, like the people in the video, find the phrases inspiring especially as I was training for my first half-marathon this past summer. I loved hearing how it inspired people in the video below but the biggest treat is seeing the ads from the 90s that focused on women and girls. The ads are just as powerful today as they were almost twenty-years ago.
