It was just this past August that OPI celebrated fifty years of James Bond 007 with the launch of “The Man with the Golden Gun” a nail lacquer made with 18K gold. Now, for Holiday 2012 OPI’s collection takes inspiration from the latest James Bond 007 film Skyfall.
Suzi Weiss-Fischman, OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director, stated:
OPI is thrilled to work with EON Productions to celebrate 50 years of the style, swagger and mystique associated with Bond 007….From metallic and glitter finishes to jewel tones and even a jet black, these lacquers capture the film’s sophisticated and glamorous look.
Keeping with the feel of the James Bond 007 films the OPI Skyfall-inspired collection features colors that are both seductive and dangerous. Named after previous James Bond 007 films the OPI holiday 2012 colors are: GoldenEye (gold), The Spy Who Loved Me (romantic red), Die Another Day (lively red), Casino Royale (plum), You Only Live Twice (high-shimmer magenta), Skyfall( maroon), Moonraker (metallic grey), Tomorrow Never Dies (intense purple), The Living Daylights (multi-hued glitter), On Her Majesty’s Secret Service (misty-green pewter commands attention), Live & Let Die (jet black) and The World is Not Enough (rosy silver).
I love this collection – it’s one of my favorite OPI collections yet. The colors are dramatic and perfect for fall and the holiday season. The rich reds, luxurious plums and sultry darks and glitters are gorgeous and I’m having a hard time deciding which color I want to wear first. Whatever you choose, you can be sure you’ll be wearing the must-have color of the season.
This limited edition promotion will be available beginning October 2012 at Professional Salons, including Beauty Brands, Beauty First, Chatters, Dillard’s, JCPenney, Pure Beauty, Regis, Trade Secret, and ULTA, for $8.50 ($9.95 CAN) suggested retail for each Nail Lacquer.
