M.I.S.S. Techcessories – Paper by FiftyThree iPad App

a virtual notebook

A virtual notebook for your iPad

Once upon a time Microsoft was working on a tablet called the Courier…but then someone high up probably remembered the iPad existed and cancelled the project altogether.  Ironically some of the people working on the ill-fated Courier decided it’d be a better idea to take their talents elsewhere and create an iPad App.  It’s called Paper by FiftyThree, and as the name sort of implies, it turns your iPad into a digital notebook.  It’s got a minimalist user interface that features blank virtual pages and…not a whole hell of a lot else, actually, which makes it perfect for getting down to business.  You can take notes, sketch,  play MASH if you want to…Basically anything you’d do with a regular notebook you can do with this app.  Except eat the paper (because there is none). Oh, and everything you can create can be easily shared via Facebook, Tumblr, or Twitter.  Sharing is caring, so I’ve been told.

Best of all: the app is free!  Sort of!  People who don’t mind using the stock included options will never have to pay a dime, but if you’re one of those people who absolutely need colors other than black in your life and a myriad of other options, then be prepared to fork over a small pittance.  The app is available now in (where else) the iTunes App Store right now.
