Washing my hair is usually a bit of a process – It takes at a minimum 3 steps. I have dry, curly hair that needs a ton of moisturizer so I use specialty shampoo and conditioner for my hair texture. But, I also have dry scalp so before I treat my hair with my fancy moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, I use dandruff shampoo. Up until now, dandruff shampoos are not very glamorous, in fact, they’re very clinical. They’re marketed (and smell like) medicine for your head. When Suave reached out to me to try the Suave Scalp Solutions Shampoo & Conditioner I jumped at the chance because I was eager to find an alternative to what I was already using (and sharing with my husband).
The first thing I noticed about Suave Scalp Solutions was the coconut scent. I’m a huge fan of coconut scent – and good-smelling hair and hair products in general – so this was a big welcome change from the dandruff shampoo I was using. To give it a real go, the first few times I tried Suave Scalp Solutions shampoo & conditioner I didn’t use my fancy moisturizing shampoo & conditioner afterward so I could truly see how it worked.
I have to say, I’m pleased with the results. I classify my hair as “special needs” because of how curly it is but I was able to skip my moisturizing shampoo and conditioner when I used Suave Scalp Solutions. I would not do this with every wash, but if I wanted to give my hair a break, or was in a rush, I could definitely skip the fancy stuff. If you don’t have “special needs” hair (i.e., not curly, moisture-deprived hair) then Suave Scalp Solutions shampoo & conditioner would probably be all you need as it does have nourishing properties in addition to scalp treatment ingredients.
If you are tired of the same old clinical dandruff shampoos definitely try Suave Scalp Solutions – your hair will be soft, flake-free and smell lovely.
