By now you’re probably familiar with TOMS One for One pact – for each pair of footwear you purchase, a pair is donated to a child in need. Recently, TOMS expanded its product offering to eyewear and is using a similar approach to helping people around the world get their vision back.
Vision impairment is number seven of the top 10 medical conditions afflicting the world’s population and eighty-percent of all blindness is preventable or curable if treated in time. TOMS has vowed to help give people’s vision back with its new eyewear program. With every pair of sunglasses sold, TOMS will provide either prescription glasses, sight-saving surgery or medical treatment.
If the purpose of the sunglasses wasn’t enough to get you sold then the design and quality should do it. TOMS sunglasses are made in Italy and all feature the TOMS signature stripes hand-painted on the arms of the sunglasses. The front stripe represents the consumer, the back stripe represents the person you are helping receive medical attention and the middle stripe represents TOMS making it all possible. TOMS eyewear comes in four styles: Jacki O, Wayfarer, Aviator and Butterfly. My personal favorite is the Jackie O because when it comes to glasses, the bigger, the better.
You can purchase your pair of TOMS sunglasses and give the gift of sight on the TOMS webshop.
