I hate ballet flats. There, I said it. It comes as a shock to many ladies that I am not a fan of the popular dainty footwear. I agree, flats are the perfect grey area between dressy and casual, but I cannot get with the program. They’re just uncomfortable and too girly for me. I need comfort, functionality, and a shoe that my foot isn’t going to slide in if I put lotion on my feet.
Thankfully, Nike served as the mastermind behind the perfect fusion of ballet flat and sneaker. Resembling a Cortez, the ‘Ballet’ Lace-Up is the answer for the lady on the go. The chamois/techno fabric upper and elastic around the opening make for a comfortable shoe that’s sure to stay on, but easy to slip on and off. The Lace-Up comes in white, red, black, and grey. All four colorways feature a white Nike swoosh and laces.
Tiptoe your way over to Yoox and cop your pair for $49. My size is already gone so hurry!
