I know I know. It’s practically November and temperatures in your area are dropping faster than some panties at an Usher concert. Why in the world you want to go outside to do some exercise when you could be indoors nursing a cup of hot cocoa and catching up on episode of The Good Wife (I’m not the only one who does that….right?)? I’ll tell you why! Because those eight minute abs and buns of steel aren’t going to make themselves! And because Motorola’s all set to drop their new MOTOACTV music and fitness device, a tiny little number meant to help you burn off all those unwanted calories and train harder while listening to the Rocky soundtrack.
No, your eyes are not deceiving you. The MOTOACTV does in fact look like an iPod Nano with physical buttons on the side. And, just like the Nano, it’s got a touschreen to help you keep track of important statistics: calories burned, miles ran, speed, heart rate, and personal goals achieved. Of course, getting all that hard work in would be difficult without a little musical motivation. The MOTOACTV can hold up to 4,000 songs, songs that’ll hopefully push you to do your best and not put you to sleep. The awesome thing about the MOTOACTV’s music player is that it learns what tracks motivate you most by measuring your performance against your music and then uses those songs to create your personal high-performance playlist. And if you ever get tired of listening to your own music, you can switch it over to FM radio and hear the same songs 5 songs over…and over…and over again!
The MOTOACTV will be available in the US tarting in November in two flavors: an 8GB version for $249 and a 16GB on for $299. Latin Americans and Europeans can get their hands on one early next year.
