She’s Got Sole: Vans OTW Holiday 2011, Era Suede Pack, & Old Skool Pack

It’s shop-a-holic season and the crew over at Vans is ahead of the curve. The iconic skateboard brand has been putting Santa’s elves to shame with the amount of goodies they’re releasing this season. Three collections are either on shelves or en route. Get your pens and notepads, you’re going to want to add these to your wish list.

Vans OTW 2011 Holiday  Ludlow

The Off The Wall (OTW) branch of the Vans company produces sneakers geared toward the skateboarder who’s going out on a date. They still embody the classic Vans style, but have a more dapper appearance via fabrics and colorway. The OTW Holiday 2011 collection features the classy Ludlow. The Ludlow design looks like a hybrid of a desert boot and an Authentic Lo. In four designs—black ballistic nylon, premium grey oiled suede, premium navy oiled suede and wool/veggie leather—this shoe is the perfect gift for a street-savvy, sophisticated guy. Sound like your boo? Grab him a pair for $70 at The Vans x DQM General.

Vans Era Suede Pack

Suede, the fuzzy cold-weather fabric, has been incorporated into the Vans Fall/Winter 2011 lineup. Dyed in deep, rich colors, the pack includes three colorways: Tawny Port, Dark Shadow, and Black. All three sneakers also share a tan “gum” outsole and metallic gold eyelets. A bonus is the wax tube laces that add a waterproof element that will come in handy when dodging puddles after Fall downpours. At $50 each, I hope I can track down a pair in my size. Tawny Port preferably. They are now available at Michigan’s Premier.

Vans 2011 Fall Old Skool Pack

The Vans Old Skool got a makeover for Fall. We’re used to seeing this shoe with an all canvas upper, but the lack of sunshine in the coming months called for a new covering. The Old Skool pack features two sneakers with all leather uppers (with the exception of the cotton canvas tongue). The outsole remains white as expected giving a nice color contrast to the navy or black uppers. These babies are now available at Premier for $60 each.
