Freehand nail art has been all the rave nowadays in the nails did industry. One group particularly making a buzz are the ladies of Kleur. A Los Angeles based group of three: Jaeme, Nikko, and Nita take on each nail as a mini canvas to pan out tiny masterpieces for their clients to show off around town. These aren’t your typical dotted flowers from your corner street nail salons either. We’re talking detailed geometric shapes and patterns, prints a la Keith Haring and Basquiat. So good that Women’s Wear Daily has added them to their IT List for The Country’s Hottest Nail Artists.
They had their official grand opening party this past Sunday which became the greatest opportunity for M.I.S.S. to finally catch up and of course, get our nails lacquered up. Settled in PUR (Project Urban Renewal), Kleur held up a nice little midday party full of music, drinks, accessories, and live nail art as they offered their customers one free nail on a first come first serve basis. It was such a hit, let’s just say all 3 of them forgot the meaning of taking a break throughout the whole duration of the event. As nail art aficionados, we at M.I.S.S. definitely urge you to check these ladies out, visit their shop, book an appointment, or have them at your next private party.
