“I was thinking about sensuality.” Luca Luca designer, Raul Melgoza (Style.com)
Raul Melgoza’s inspiration of a woman’s sensuality came through in his spring-summer 2012 collection for Luca Luca. His line was very feminine, soft and flowy with lots of draping – think lots of chiffon blowing in the wind as your sailing on a yacht. To keep your hair in place, Melgoza showed many of his looks with turbans in models’. Many of the looks featured sheer fabrics and cutouts. His color palette ranged from black and cream to bright pastels. My favorite color combination was lime and aqua – paired with a hot pink (with a tinge of coral) lipstick – the look was so fresh and perfect for the first glimmers of spring sunshine.
