One of the best kept secrets in the Nike Sportswear lineup has to be the Toki. After its debut back in ’09, the Toki got some bad press back when Lebron James wore them at the ‘screw Cleveland’ press conference. Now that the hype around Bron Bron has died down, Nike decided to bring this casual kick back in two colorways- Bold Berry and Bright Cerise (nicknamed ‘Mexican Blanket’). The crew over at SneakerNews got the tip first and let the rest of the sneaker world in. These are a must have for me because of the non-sneaker vibe given of by the shoes’ design. Casual look with sneaker comfort. A win-win for my shopping days. You can check for these babies sometime this month at NSW retailers.
Fall is one of my favorite seasons because of the fashion. Fall 2011 brings the adidas Honey Desert. This hybrid looks like a mix between a chukka and a desert boot. A match made in heaven. The black, canvas upper is scattered with a multicolored alphabet soup pattern that spells out the adidas name and also includes the adidas trefoil. The white rubber sole brightens up the shoe just enough to make it inter-season appropriate. Interested? Grab a pair now from any retailer with an adidas Originals account for $65.
Hungry? Sink your teeth into this tasty Vans Era trio. Just in time for summer’s end, these Slip-Ons and Authentics feature some of out favorite hot weather treats.I’m sure you remember the ‘watermelons’ from a previous release (God knows I’ve been waiting on them to drop again), but added to the menu are the ‘cheeseburgers’ complete with oozing condiments and the cotton candy pink ‘sprinkles’ to round out the meal. Mmmm. They are available now in youth sizes only. Don’t have a local store to cop from? ExtraButter has a few pair left.
