We at M.I.S.S. don’t necessarily advocate reckless spending during these hard economic times, but if you’ve got a gigantic wad of cash just burning a hole in your purse and a desire to own a luxury cell phone then you might want to invest in Dior’s new smartphone. It’s made up of 99 pieces assembled by hand in a French workshop. The outer casing is made of a supple leather (a nod to Dior’s leather goods heritage) while the rest of the phone features of mix of sapphire crystal in Dior’s signature colors , steel, gold, diamond, and mother of pearl. If you’re not blinded by the bling, you’ll find that the phone doesn’t skimp on other areas that have become standard in the industry. There’s a camera, social media integration (Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, and Blogger), internet, and email, and each function incorporates some aspect of France and the Dior lifestyle. Even the ringtones, designed exclusively for this phone, manage to evoke the spirit of Dior.
All this luxury and elegance certainly doesn’t come cheap. But, like I said, if you have a wad of cash burning a hole in your purse you can pick up the Dior phone over at Collete for around $4,700.
