Growing up one of my favorite songs was Whitney Houston’s The Greatest Love of All. I’d belt it out whenever I heard it but the opening line – “I believe the children are our future” – never meant more to me now that I am a mother. While children in the U.S. face the risk of obesity, the rest of the world faces a different problem. Every 5 seconds, a child dies from hunger, and over 350 million children go to bed hungry each night.
Clarins, a beauty company devoted to making women beautiful, also plans on giving women and children beautiful futures. To further their humanitarian goals, Clarins has teamed up with FEED to battle children’s hunger worldwide. FEED is an organization co-founded by Lauren Bush to raise funds and awareness for the United Nations World Food Programme. Since 2007, FEED has raised over $6 million and distributed over 60 million meals to hungry children across the globe.
Together, Clarins and FEED have created the Clarins FEED 15 Pouch. The pouch contains three discovery sizes of Clarins’ most iconic products: Hand and Nail Treatment Cream, Moisture-Rich Body Lotion and Instant Light Natural Lip Perfector. Clarins FEED 15 will be $30 (which is a steal because it’s valued at $48) and by purchasing the Clarins FEED 15 pouch you provide 15 meals to children around the world. You can purchase the Clarins FEED 15 Pouch on the Clarins website starting today.
You can also make a meal donation to FEED by simply visiting Facebook. All you have to do is “like” the Clarins Facebook page and repost the Clarins FEED video on your profile. For every Clarins Facebook “Like” and share/repost of the FEED video on your profile, Clarins will donate 1 nutritious meal to a child in need to the FEED foundation. EACH VIDEO SHARE = 1 MEAL. Such an easy, fast way to help a hungry child get a meal.
Each day I am thankful for everything that I have – all of the opportunities – but also the very basic stuff that I sometimes take for granted like not having to worry about where my next meal is coming from. The Clarins and FEED Million Meal Campaign is a simple way to do something positive so that children around the world will get the meals they need and deserve.
