Vans x Jesse Jo Launch Party at the Troubadour and Giveaway!

Jesse Jo is a bit of an urban legend in LA. She is know for her spit fire attitude and her paralyzing good looks, 10 feet long legs and cat eyes; but has just added fashion designer to her long list of influential roles. Vans collaborated with the Cobra Snake muse to create a collection of tees, short shorts and accessories and launched the line this week in the infamous LA rocker venue, the Troubadour. It absolutely fit for the designs, the fans and the designer who later in the night went on to perform as Guns N’ Jones. Successfully adding Rock Star to that very long list I mentioned.

A special performance came from headliner band, Jesse Guns N’ Jones’, entertaining guests with some serious rock-n-roll.  Jesse Jo lead the band with vocals belting out classics like “Cherry Bomb” and “Rebel Girl” and with support by bass player Duff McKagen of Guns N’ Roses’ and guitar by Steve Jones of Sex Pistols fame, the performance was a hit.

Jesse Jo, the designer, speaks heavily to the current scene and trends bubbling out of that Cobra Snake Hollywood Scene in her collaboration with Vans. A little nostalgic, a little juvenile and always very sexy! When I asked Jesse Jo what inspired these looks in her creations she kept away from the obvious answers like skate and punk culture but immediately sited her friends, high school and campy horror films as major influences. Special friends like Nicole Richie and husband Joel Madden, Cher and Shanea Grimes of 90210 and more cool kids than you can count, all made appearances at the event.  The night closed with a bang as party-goers danced to the musical blend of DJ Samantha Ronson.

The party theme reflected the collection’s inspiration of Americana and rock-n-roll.  The event kicked off with those American staples – grilled cheese sandwiches and tater tots provided by The Grilled Cheese Truck along with music by DJ Grant and the opening act, the Stripminers headed by the Donnas’ Brett Anderson.

Vans x Jesse Jo will land in 18 PacSun doors, Animal House in Venice Beach, Active in Santa Monica and is available on Karmaloop.com.

I love the jess jo, back pack. It has 2 of my favourite styles in it, animal print, which is like half my wardrobe and i like american flagged clothing, but i am yet to get some of them. I also really like the vans blue top, which looks cropped in the photo, it may not be, because its really kick ass and has a rock, grungey look to it, which i really love and im told i suit.

    Thanks xx :)
